Where to get married

We are so close to going to the justice of the peace!!! Except I really want a pretty dress with fabulous wedding photos Anyway...I am with my parents and before they were fine with us getting married in my fiance''s hometown...Phoenix and now they are saying we have to get married in upstate NY which could be pretty, but I feel like there should be some compromise. At least a smidge. It sucks!!! What should I do?

Welcome back! Hope everything is well with you! To answer your question, don''t know if I am the best person for that...my fiance and I took about 9 months to make a decision about our wedding...I think we considered every possible venue under the sun- from destination (Florida) to mini-destination (Vermont), from loft spaces to old hotels, you name it, we considered it. We couldnt decide on a date either!
We finally decided to do it the old fashioned way next September. We are getting married in Tarrytown (Westchester), NY. There are so many pretty places up there to do it- if you are considering NY you should check it out...

So as far as you and your FI are concerned, where do you guys want to get married? You are in Phoenix, right? How is it going there? I can understand your parents wanting to do it in NY or at least a little closer...it is a hike to get out there...but you guys need to do what you want to do, remember it is your day, no one else''s....
