you ladies give stellar advice, so i''ve come to seek it out again:

I''ve come across a number of dress that i really like for our rehearsal dinner, but i just don''t know...

From the top left:
1) I love how it''s sort of sophistocated, revealing, yet not too much
2) This was originally the dress i had to have, but it ties in the back and i''m not a huge fan of a big cotton bow
3) I love this dress, but i never really wear hems that are above the knee

From Bottom Left:
4) I love the dress for it''s simplicity, but perhaps too shapeless?
5) Gorgeous dress, just maybe not right for the occassion

Do you have a favorite?

My vote is for number 1... and runner up would be number 5. 2,3, and 4 all look just a little like nightgowns to me - very cute for casual summer outings, but not quite right for a rehearsal dinner. I like number one because it is light and flirty, yet sophisticated, and something you can definitely wear again. But they all are cute for any other occasion!

hi ..
i like #1 the best too.. simple but sophisticated.

I like #5 the best, and #1 is pretty too. I agree with ocbride2007 about the other ones looking like nightgowns

before reading any other replies... I vote for a tie btwn #1 and #5

#2 reminds me of something I would''ve worn as a small child (not that it''s ugly, perhaps just not adult and bride-to-be-ish)
#3 seems ill-fitting at the top part and if you''re not comfortable w/ hems above the knee you will spend the whole dinner feeling exposed, not fun
#4 I don''t really know why, I just don''t really like this one.

I think the first and last dresses are *really* very pretty and to me are no comparison to the other three...

i like #2 because it looks so comfortable and #5 because i think it''s really pretty. but it would depend on how formal/informal your rehearsal dinner is. i''m sorry i don''t remember. the dresses seem like they might be best on different body types too. have you tried them on? or have you tried on anything similar? if you have i''d go with the one you feel prettiest in.

I LOVE #1 and #5!!!

Number 1 is my first choice...with number 5 as a close runner up.

#1 for a more traditional rehearsal dinner (where is this dress from by the way?)
#5 for a more relaxed, fun drinking and going out rehearsal dinner

I''m the odd man out here, but I LOVE number 3. Who makes it? I think I want it for myself. It is so classic but modern, and I''m short so I always wear hems above my knee.

Another vote for #1 & #5

What pretty dresses! Where did you find them?

Five (my favorite) is more cosmopolitan than 1.

5 and then 1 :)

#5 is my first choice, #4 is my second.

Oooh, I love #1!

#1 would be my first choice. I like the sophisticated and airy fabric. #5 would be my second.

2, 3, and 4 make the models look shapeless, you''ve got to be worried when the wafe thin models look shapeless.
1 is my favorite for the very same reasons you mentioned, I like that it''s slightly revealing, but in a very classy way.

I vote for #1 followed closely by #5.

thanks for all the opinions!!

Here is the info for the dress because some people have asked

1) Kay Unger at www.saks.com
2) Catherine Malandrino on sale at www.saks.com
3) Wayf at www.shopbop.com
4) Robert Rodriguez can''t remember what store
5) Earl Jeans at www.shopbop.com

They are a bit pricey, but i got my wedding dress/shoes/accessories for an absolute bargain

I like 5, then 2, then 1.

I like #1 and #5 the best!

#5! #5! #5!!!

I like 5, then 2. 2 seems the most casual, and would fit with my RD. We''re either going to a local Mexican place or having a cookout. 5 would work at more upscale events.

It''s between #1 & #5. #1 is a little more conservative, whereas #5 is more fun & flirty. I guess it really depends on what fit your personality.

#1 all the way! It''s very classy!

The dresses will all look radically different depending on your body type, so I really can''t say. If you are as leggy and flat as the model, I like number one, but if you are curvier, it might not work so well or it could look a little "strict" for lack of a better word.

The last one might not be quite right for the occasion, but that might be because the model has it halfway unbuttoned?
