Wedding season is definitely upon me, and I want to decide which dress to wear to MY shower so that I can put it away and not wear it to any of the 5 I have coming up. But I''m having trouble choosing which I like best, and FI is being no help, so which one do you all like best? Thanks for looking!
Here''s option 1

Option 2 -- oh by the way, my shower is in June.

Option 3

option 2 is very becoming!! It looks very nice on your waistline and is a very slimming silhouette. I love the aqua shoes!

Ditto... love #2 and the aqua shoes!

I also love option 2!

Number 2 looks wonderful on you! The others are cute too, but I really like that one on you.

I LOVE #2!!

Thanks Swinggirl, sera, legalchick, gwen, and zoe! Can I be gross for a minute? I really love #2, but the reason I posted a pic of me with my hands on my hips is because in the others, I got a really bad bit of arm-pit bulge at the top...I''ve always had this problem with certain strapless dresses, and I can never get rid of it. Should I let that stop me from wearing it? Any suggestions on camoflauging it?

I love no 2 also. I wouldn''t let the armpit thing bother you. Maybe wear it with a light shawl if you''re feeling conscious about it?

I like number 2, also. Hmm do you have a wrap of some kind you could wear? A pashmina or since it''s the summer maybe a little bolero?

#2 for sure!!!

everyone has a little big of the armpit stuff there in a strapless - i wouldn''t let that bother you - overall it''s VERY attractive and flattering on you (more so, IMO than the others, although they are pretty as well).

p.s. and a cute little (cream/white) shrug might be help you feel more comfortable if it''s not too hot in June.

cheers!

I was thinking like this one - i googled white shrug and searched through nextag.com. Oddly, i thought this particular item said "plus size," which you CLEARLY are not (although neither is this model)!! But, at least it would give you an idea....

Ooo...absolutely #2! It is very flattering on you, and I love the color! I agree with what the others said about the buldge...although, do you get it so much when you are sitting? In my experience, you spend a lot of time sitting at your shower, especially during the gift-opening.

I agree with who ever said to consider how it looks sitting down, as thats what you''ll be doing most of the time. A friend of mine had a fall shower and wore cropped wool pants with boots and though she looked great standing, sitting the pants rode up so her knees showed which looked a little wonky in the pictures.

Oh, that'' such a good point about sitting, Amandine and Laine, I had not even thought of that! I will have to try it on again and see if that makes a difference. And violet, I love that little sweater! I do have a bunch of light sweaters that I could wear with each of the dresses, so that is definitely an option too!

Hmm..FI just chimed in...he likes #2 the best too, but that means he wants me to wear it to the afternoon wedding we''re going to together so he can see me in it since he won''t be around for my shower! Well, I''ll definitely be wearing it somewhere...now I just need to decide where I care more about looking my best.

hmmm...just wanted to chime in with the minority opinion and vote for #1. I think the v-neck looks great on you, and it''s just such a classic shape for a dress. Could you try it with one of the solid color sashes from one of the other dresses? I think putting a sash around your waist would define it a little more and break up the paisley a little. I''m also very partial to paisley, but I think a little bit of a solid color would pull it together a bit more!!

I''m with Karasue, I like #1 the best!

My first choice is option 2. Fresh and flattering.
My second choice is option 1. I love the top.

Isn''t it great to have two great choices????

number 2 hands down!!! You look great in that dress!!

All the dresses are pretty, but number 2 is absolutely gorgeous!! It looks lovely on you... don''t worry about the armpit bulge... everyone has it, and your arms will be moving around, so I''m sure it won''t be noticeable. Just maybe stand with your arms around people in all the pix, if you''re really worried about it!

Will the same people be at your shower as will be at the wedding DH wants you to wear the dress to? You might be able to wear it to both if you wanted!

I like #2 as well, and I think it would look super-cute with a little white bolero, and maybe some platform-y shoes!

Another vote for #2, love it!!

Option 2

Hi Sabine! I think they are all pretty dresses, but my vote definitely goes to #1. I feel like it is super flattering and really really pretty - perfect combo for the bride at a shower!! Next, I would actually go with #3.

I think what it comes down to is that the style of 1 and 3 (in my eyes) is more flattering up top on ya! Plus, I prefer the colours too - just my 2 cents though!! You will look beautiful in any of them!

Wow, thanks for all the opinions kara, robbie, miracle, cdt, ephemery, basil, kaleigh, krisv, and october! I think I''m going to go with the minority and wear #1 to my shower. I agree that #2 looks better, but after wearing them around, I FEEL much more comfortable in #1. I''ll wear #2 to a shower for one friend, and the daytime wedding for another (yay getting to wear it twice)! I just think at my shower I would be worrying too much about how I would be looking in pics in the strapless dress, and knowing me, when I''m the center of attention I get all overheated, so I don''t think a sweater would be the best for that! I can''t wait to wear all these dress! Now if I could only find a rehearsal dinner dress...
