The pocket of our invites is pewter. Our colors are pink and pewter with ivory and some silver accents.

Which ribbon looks best for the outside of the invite??

i like the ribbon on the right. its ''cleaner'' looking

They both look great, but I slightly prefer the one on the right with the trim. Beautiful!

Ditto. It looks more professional to me.

Maybe I''m alone in this, but I prefer the one on the left. I think the width of the ribbon is more appropriate for the size of the card. It would be nice with the edging of the ribbon on the right though.

I am with you musincy. For some reason I prefer the 1st one. It is probably the size like she said.

The one on the right is more visible and the size looks proportionate.

I''d say it depends on the feel of your wedding. I think they both look nice, but give off different impressions.

The one on the left is softer, more whimsical. The one on the right is cleaner-cut and more elegant.

The one on the right, definitely!

I agree with alaros, the right looks a touch more formal.

I like the one on the left.

Left - I think the one on the right looks better in the photo because it''s a crisper contrast, but I think the left will look much better in person because of the size/sheer quality.

I am with Elmorton I like the width of the left one but prefer the contrast of the right. If it were up to me I would do a satin ribbon in the same width as the one on the left, because I love the look of wider ribbon when it is tied, but also the bolder contrast of the colors against each other.

ETA I love your color scheme!

I wish there was a way to combine them. I love the width of the ribbon on the left but the edging of the ribbon on the right. If you could find one with edging that was a bit wider I think it would be perfect!

Ditto EricaR. They are both nice though.

Yep, ribbon on the right. At first I thought both looked great, but then I covered one at a time with my hand, then the one on the right was the easy choice.

I take what I said earlier back. After doing it "musey style" I concur with those who said the ribbon the right.

I would prefer the second ribbon in the width of the first...sorry for being difficult! lol

I think looking at the whole package, that the one on the left looks better. I think that the sheerness lets the ribbon melt into the background and enhance the entire thing, rather than being it''s own entity. Did that make sense at all?

The one on the right :),it just looks much more finished.

Thanks for all your replies. I took the invite to the post office and b/c of the "bow bump" the postage is more. So, I can either pay more for postage, or use a label like this one. What do you think?

How much more is the postage? Are you really "tied" (hehe, no pun intended!) to the ribbons? Whats the final cost difference per invite for ribbon + extra postage vs the seal and how many invites are you sending out?

I''d say if the budget is tight I would just go for the seal. They will still be really lovely invites!

I prefer the one on the right, although both look nice.

I vote to pay the postage. I really love the bow! (The right only slightly more than the left!)

I personally would pay the extra postage and I really like both ribbons, but I would have to say I like the ribbon on the right better as well, for some reason the ribbon on the left reminds me of a gift basket

I am not sure why though. haha

I prefer the one of the left, however they both look beautiful!

#2!
