Hello Everyone,

I have been a lurker on this site for quite awhile now, gathering information for my diamond purchase and need some guidance and wisdom from the members of this forum.

Here are a couple of strong contenders so far, I have purchased from WF recently and they are terrific!!! I have also heard great things about abazias also. My Dilemma is which one? I know everyone would probably say it''''s a no brainer a VS2 versus an SI2. However, it''''s an AGS graded a cut above H&A from WF or a GIA ideal cut. I ran the stats from the sarin report through HCA and it came back VERY nice on the GIA stone and a cut above H&A speak for themselves! Oh and the price difference is very very close.
Any info or guidance on this matter would be GREATLY appreciated

Not loving the depth on the Abazias stone. I prefer stones in the 60.2 to 60.9 range as they tend to show their true size from above. Diamonds that are a little deeper to me I am paying for weight I don''t get to admire in the mm department. I love the numbers on the second one and it is beautiful. If it is eyeclean, then #2 handsdown. Love those ACAs.

P.S. You might want to post this in Rocky Talky to get more input.

i agree with shay..i like the depth to be lower. the aca is perfect of course, and it scores a 1.1 on the hca

Perhaps not quite a 'no brainer', because I can't compare the cut of these two on equal terms and that contributes at least as much as clarity to the looks of the thing. Actually, I'd probably take better cut over better clarity - and I suspect this choice gets more votes around here too.

Any chance you could obtain pictures and/or H&A viewer or IdealSCope picture or a Sarin report from Abazias? If you have time to try out the stone based on the return policy (so if it turns out not quite as you'd expect...) than who knows? It may not be H&A all the way, but given the right proportions it could be very nice and then you had it all - cut and clarity. What chances there are for this - no idea

Just the usual 0.2 worth

if the ACA is eyeclean it would be my pick.

As many have noted, there isn't enough information provided on the Abazias diamond to get a firm idea of its make.

You may have a tough time getting this data....it appears as though this stone is brokered, which means Abazias doesn't actually have the stone inhouse.

The Whiteflash stone is inhouse, and it also has the grading report that provides the cut data.

What I can see: as others noted, the depth on the first stone is higher......and you can see that directly affects the diameter of the stone. Both weigh the same, but the second stone is bigger in diameter because it's not hiding that weight below.

I'd agree with the others.....I'd pick the second stone.
