Helloooo Fine Ladies,

So as some of you know - I am looking to buy a the ritani endless love wedding band to match my e-ring. Problem is that I originally wanted to get two because of how thin the band is and I wanted a bit more bling When I looked into the prices it is going to cost me about 2600$ CAN per (for platinum) band so then I decided to just get 1 band. Then today I was browsing the Ritani website and noticed they have a new double eternity band... I have a feeling it will be cheaper than purchasing two single bands (but I couldn''t be wrong... called my jeweler for a price quote today and I am waiting to hear back). Anyway - I guess my question is which would you prefer with my e-ring:

1) one single wedding band (2mm) LEFT RING ON PIC
2) two single wedding bands (2x2mm worn on each side of my ering) TWO OF THE LEFT RING ON PIC
3) one double eternity band (4mm worn on one side of ering) RIGHT RING ON PIC

Another reason I like the double band eternity band and/or they two single wedding band is that I can wear them on their own when I travel (sans e-ring).

Yes, I am neurotic.

Option 2 - the two single row eternity bands. More to mix and match as you want.

Ok ladies,

What it it's 2600$ a piece for a single row band or 3000$ for the double row?

Does anyone on pricescope own that double row band?

oh oh ... yet another option! three rows!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I''d get a single band for now and get the second later because they''re so dang much! Have you tried on the double row to see how it looks? I think a triple might be too fat!

i agree, just wait until you have the money and when you really need it, as with almost everything less is more (except for diamonds), but you may end up regretting the 2 row only to find what you really wanted was the single row! Start small, work you way up!!!

Me too! Buy the single row for now; get the second one later.

My vote's still for the single band. I like the suggestions you've gotten so far about buying one band now and then adding a second one later. Maybe for an anniversary presey

I tend to think of the wedding band as something more than a fashion statement, so I''d tend to go with one band rather than two...

that said, I''d probably go with the two-row band!

I also like the idea of getting one now, and one later (1 year anniversary), so they both have special meaning.

Personally, I prefer the look of the single band paired with an ER to the thick one, and like your idea of wearing them alone when traveling - seems very practical and wearable. Have you tried the thick band (or one like it) on with your ER? That might help you decide. I imagine it will be a very different look than the single band.

hey ladies- i haven''t had a chance to try on the double band bcs they don''t carry it at my only local ritani dealer.. another thing that irritates me about the single band is the difference in thickness compared to the e-ring. there is more metal on the edges so they don''t match *perfectly*

ILTW, weren''t you looking into a custom job? I''m assuming that didn''t work out?!

yep still exploring that option... nothing has come close though. most other bands would not match exactly (e.g have bigger diamonds or less or more metal). another option could be getting both bands in palladium....

i know myself. im totally going to end up with the platinum ritani or it will bug me for life... if anyone has pics of palladium and platinum sets please post!

Isn''t it amazing how difficult it is getting the wedding band? i thought it was going to be so easy and my FI and I ended up searching for months to find the exact one i wanted.
I would suggest maybe seeing if you can find "one single wedding band (2mm0)" at a local jeweler for less than $2600.
Then you can get the TWO now. I also wanted the same thing, but i wanted too and it was out of our budget.
He said i could get the 2nd one as an anniversary present but of course I wanted it NOW. LOL - im bad
ANYWAY - you can find the bands you want for less than $2600 - and they dont HAVE to be ritani do they? look at this. exactly the same and you can get two now! $775 each

I really wanted option B for myself - which I reasoned out to be one band for the India wedding and one band for the wedding here (and we have similar rings!). But Mr. Kama said he didn't like the blingy look

Hence, I would suggest 'B' to you as well. And to make it easier on the pocket, do what others suggested - get one for the wedding, and the second for your 1st year anniv.

Alternatively, you can give a picture of the ring to a jeweler who can make it from scratch. If you think it might not be exact, buy one ritani and give that to your jeweler and ask them to make an exact copy.

I personally wouldn't like the two or three strands. I prefer the width's to match.

Did you call Mark at ERD? Seriously - he made mine and it is PERFECT. And WAY less expensive.

Needless to say, I vote for two of the single bands. Often, I wear my two stacked alone and they look just like the double, but at least then I have the option of splitting them up, putting one on each side, or stacking with another band of mine on my right hand.

I know you are in Toronto, and I''d be more than happy to meet up with you to show you mine if you''d like.

Hey girl - I did contact Mark at ERD but the prices he quoted me at at 1700$ each band (USD) so in the end I wouldn''t be saving all that much with the exchange rate. I think my local jeweler said he would give them to me or 2200 CAN if I got two (so I would save 400$ each band). Not bad... I am going to go see him today and see what says. I will try and take pics if I can.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I will keep you posted re. what I decide!

unless you have really long fingers I think that that thetriple band will end up taking up way too much room. I would get a single band now and let him get you another one for an anniversary or something. I think you will like having versatility even if the price is more.

Yeah, exactly my thoughts. How about a vendor like Facets? They''re reasonable, and I think they have different styles of eternities...

Yikes :-( I guess the prices went up - a lot! I''m sorry I really thought that I had a solution for you!! I remember getting really decent quotes from a place down town in the jewellery building across from the Eaton Centre for something similar and they do custom as well.

Boo.

Either way, I''d get the skinny ones. One now, one later, whatever. I think it offers flexibility from a fashion standpoint as well as a financial one.

Good luck!

I''d get two single row eternity bands, or one now and one later.

If you''re concerned about the bands being really close to your e-ring but not EXACTLY the same, have you considered getting something different enought that it was obvious that they aren''t supposed to match? You could get rose gold eternity bands, or shared-prong, or bar-set, or any other type of eternity band that has the same style but not exactly the same look.

I also like the idea of only 1 wedding band, I like the double row band
