It is snowing at my house tonight! The fact that it rarely snows in Houston, but on Christmas Eve! Oh, what a delight and joy for us! We are thrilled. Our last measureable snow was in 1989 - just an inch or so. So this is a treat indeed!

Merry Christmas to all !

Did you happen to shoot any pics?? I''m originally from Houston (290/1960 area) but I''ve lived in Germany for the past five years (and am now used to seeing snow, obviously!)...spoke to my parents earlier and they were dumbfounded (as well as most of South Texas!)!

Merry Christmas!!

well, I tried to take pics, but it was getting dark and it was difficult to see it. Can you believe Galveston had more snow than parts of Houston! In Victoria, they had 12"! I think here in Kingwood, we had maybe an inch or so. So much fun - we could hear kids up and down the street yelling with delight. We went outside to the front yard and starting singing "Im dreaming of a white Christmas"!! I will probably never happen again.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL !!!!!!!!!

I have proof that it snowed here !!! Managed to get it on film before it melted this morning. I live just outstide Houston ... Katy, Texas. It snowed more here than @ my parents who live about an hour north from me. It was a beautiful sight to see. I haven''t had the pleasure of seeing snow for a looooooooooooooooooooooong time. It made this Christmas all that more special.

Yup...it did snow in H-TOWN!!!!! Here''s a picture of little Sushie - my son and daughter-in-law''s dog....She is not quite sure she wants to step down on this white stuff.....and she almost blends right in! Fun while it lasted! Heard it''s going to be 70 degrees here on Wednesday!!!

Judi is that a Westie?! What a cutie!!

Portia is going to the snow for New Years...we're heading to a house in Tahoe with 6 friends. I can't wait to see her reaction to the snow. We'll have to watch her or else she will blend right in!

Mara, Actually little Sushie is a Yorkie. She''s my son and daughter-in-law''s little one. I have a Yorkie and so does my daughter. I won''t tell anyone else in the family this, but I think Sushie is probably the most beautiful of all of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here''s another picture of the little sweetie! Are we crazy with these dogs of ours or what!!??!!

She's definitely adorable...in the first picture she looked more white against the snow...and since Westies are the only white terrier out there (other terriers come in almost every color *but* white!), I thought maybe she was one!

We used to have a Westie when I was young and my Mom keeps saying how different Portia looks from Townsley, our old Westie, but all I can see now when I think of them is Portia, so I can't even disagree!

Of course, I think Portia is the cutest ever.

We'll see how she does in the snow!

My fiance is from Houston (Pasadena area) and he was so upset that he wasn''t there to see the white Texas Christmas.

BUT we live in TN and had 3 inches of ICE and we were snowed in at our respective houses and did not get to see each other for Christmas Eve or Christmas

But we are having Christmas today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yes, "Stinkadena"...brings back some memories ! Well, I can''t complain (snow-wise), we''re pretty snowed-in right now ourselves (Germany).

Hope everyone''s having a great holiday season!

Oh man that Stinkadena is an old high school memory. We would take the Ship Channel tunnel to Pasadena and "cough" when we emerged on the other side! Is Red Bluff Drive-In Theater still there? Of course, I never went there, but driving by at night was always a chance to peek!!!
