Attached picture shows:
My dress (the lace) which is "ivory" with a "champagne" underlay
My sash, billed as "creme", a soft taupe
A generic "white" shirt
A bowtie billed as "the perfect shade of champagne"

Mom says that the bowtie is closest in color to the dress underlay.
We want to stay with a white shirt.
There will be a black tuxedo in between all these, so the colors will not be as close to each other as they are in the pictures.

Our other option is to go with a slightly darker tauper bowtie...probably this one

My main concern with this one is that maybe(?) it is too close to white...I don''t want it to look like we messed up and got a white shirt and an ivory tie. What do you think?

basil - I am not the most "visual" person so I don''t know if I''m envisioning what you''re intending us to. BUT. I love the really white/crisp shirt with the bowtie in the perfect shade of champagne. I think the difference in colors will not be so subtle that it will look off. Do you already have/own the bowtie in the champagne? Could you maybe go and try it on with a black jacket, just to see it in person?

STOP searching IMHOI think you have it! I luv it. Good Job

Thanks Claudia and Laura!

Dress and tie are currently at my mom''s house and the tux is with my fiance at his house, so we can''t try them on together for a long time. It''s kind of driving me nuts not to be able to see it all together in person!

I''m going for a classic, formal, but not matchy-matchy look. I swear, this decision is harder than picking out my dress!

I think those colors all look GREAT together!

I think the bowtie is a great match to yur dress. I don''t think I''d go with the other bow tie. Looks good!

I think it looks perfect - I''d go with it just the way it is. Looks lovely

I DEFINITELY like the one you posted in the photo above. It looks great! The tie in the pic you linked looks too brown in my opinion.

basis, sometimes the little details are harder than the big things...but seriously, it looks gorgeous...I really wish you could see it in person, as I'm sure it would put your worries to rest.

ETA: meant to say basil.

My future father-in-law is in town and we just came back from having pizza and a couple of glasses of wine, so forgive my typing!
