here is the stone we purchased from gary. i love it and think that i will be using this for my ring. i plan to get my setting from robbins bros. online site (as i don''t live close to a B&M store and am dead set on a jeff cooper). i have been speaking with mindy who seemed a little unhappy that i didn''t plan to buy my stone from them but gary was quick to find me this little piece of fabulousness. i am hoping that i can find someone local who will set the stone for me without giving me a problem for not buying my setting/stone from them. i''m also trying to figure out if i will need to get insurance before i get the setting done and, if so, what to buy. needless to say i''ll be doing more research on here before it gets done.

what do you think of my stone???

Any pics of the settings you like or are considering? that stone would good in so many settings!

Very nice cut! I look forward to seeing the finished ring!

thanks for the compliments!! i want to purchase this jeff cooper setting online from robbins bros. i emailed mindy but still haven''t heard back from her...hopefully she will get back to me soon :) i can''t wait! i tried on quite a few settings and am usually more inclined to wear very ornate rings. however, when i started trying them on, i preferred a simple design. weird

OVE that setting!!!! That is exactly what i would do with that beautiful cut of stone! The simplicity of it, BTW, is a perfect for accenting with some "ornate" and blingy band (S).

They will look very nice together.

If you are unsuccessful with Robbins Bros. you might want to try Solomon Brothers, http://www.solomonbrothers.com/Default.aspx. They have the setting you want and others have had good luck with them.
