Hopefully I''m not posting in the wrong thread. I''m debating which company I should use for my diamond and engagement ring purchase. Could you tell me about any good or bad experiences you''ve had with either company?

Welcome to Pricescope!

Both of them have great reputations here. Since this is a consumer based forum, a search will find you many testimonials on both companies here. I'm assuming you'd want to know both pros and cons of going with either, which is why I'd suggest you do some homework on both companies so you can make a wise educated choice. Although I have no personal experience working with either, I believe they have both have their share of of very satisfied customers. Even if a customer had "trouble," I also believe both do their very best to provide the customer with satisfactory service, which ultimately pleased most customers as an end result.

Good luck with your search and do keep us posted.

I've made two separate purchases from DirtCheap. Three pear shaped diamonds. I had a good experience both times and I felt like their prices were very good. I also like how their database automatically sorts the diamonds by cut after you enter your parameters for color, clarity, price etc. I'm currently helping a friend put together a three stone emerald cut ring. I contacted DirtCheap on Friday about a setting and they nicely called me back today to say they hadn't forgotten me, the designer was on vacation and they'd get back to me next week. I thought it was nice just to let me know why they couldn't answer my question.

Whiteflash is also wonderful. I contacted them with some questions when I was looking for my pear shaped earrings. They were prompt in answering my questions and made a good effort to find me what I was looking for. I ended up buying from DirtCheap since they were able to find me what I wanted.

I think you'll be satisfied with either company.

I''d suggest a search for their name in the subject line and read the testimonials on each company.

Both are good and many PS''ers have posted positive (and probably a few negative--no one is perfect!) notes on both companies.

Good luck!

Thanks for your comments. I should have performed a search on both companies to begin with. I''ll do that now. :)

No problem, Andrea, we''re happy to help, but sometimes you just gotta check things out for yourself to feel good about your decision.

We''re here for you at your next level. Diamond education is a process, not an event.
