I was deciding vendors for 5 stone, here's the link https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/help-chosing-5-stone-vendor.262833/

And just purchased the 1.25ctw from Whiteflash because of the ACAs, I might get an eternity band from IDJ in the future when visiting NY!!!! So excited!!

But...

They required an authorization form with the credit card info and ID with picture...is it common? I don't feel comfortable to send personal informations, I think a call to the bank to authorize is enough?

Also the ring won't delivery to the doorstep thing makes me less excited. I wish I knew all the "rules" before purchase:(

Customer service is excellent tho, Michelle takes care everything and being really patient.

Yes, it’s all part of their standard protocol. I’ve been dealing with them since 2015. No issues with this process at all.

It is the process. They use the info to verify that they are dealing with you but don't share that with any other entity. I too have bought from them several times and would do so again.

I don't know if this helps, but they were able to send me a PayPal link, so I didn't have to fill out the form.

They won’t allow PayPal as an option over a certain amount, I just made a purchase and they wanted my last cc statement with my name and address for verification. Once provided my order was processed.

I purchased from them several times. I preferred them delivering to a FedEx office where I had to show ID to get the package.

I think those protocols are in everyone's best interest (both vendor and customer.)

If you aren’t comfortable emailing credit card details (I personally will not do this), call and find out what secure transmission options they provide. They may have suggestions to encrypt the image/PDF, or direct you to a secure drive to upload to.
