I'd like to buy an oval or elongated cushion for a ring, are there any vendors you'd recommend that have fair and trustworthy pricing and good cuts?

You might want to refer to the pinned thread at the top: "List of Vendors for Reference." Lots of good ones that have been somewhat "vetted" by the folks here. The list is pretty long though, as the right fit for you might depend on the nature of what is important to you. For example, are you ok with "native" or commercials cuts, or are you after a precision-cut stone?

As mentioned above check out the vendor reference list which has a lot of resources. There are many vendors that will answer questions and are located stateside (if you are) which makes shipping, and returning..........an easier process. Gather info from vendors and come back with what you want. People here give good feedback and/or can help you find "it"!
