I want to purchase some cheap stones to practice with in my metal arts class.

Just about any Thai dealer with 100% feedback (check toolhaus.org) that has super cheap stones. If you're not picky, worried about treated or synthetic stones, and you don't to pay alot, that's the way to go for your metal arts. MC.com has some nicer cheap stones, check out their closeout section.

innerkitten, when do we get to see some of your work? I''m itching to see!

Okay ;). Here is a bad picture of a few things I''ve finished/and am working on. One is a rose cut peridot ring. I want it to be part of a set of stacking bands. And the turquoise ring isn''t finished yet. I need to finish the bezel. The plain band has a light hammerd texture to it. I''m just about to start my first pendant which is exciting!

How fun!!

Hi innerkitten, I really like your rings. I especially like the low bezels - I''ve seen stuff like that on etsy (onegarnetgirl, etc), but the bezel walls seem very high, and I''m afraid I''d be knocking into things. I know you''re somewhat limited by how deep the stone is, but yours look much lower. When do we get to start commissioning projects?!
