Thanks @natasha-cupcake! The little shoe is all leather. It's in really great shape with nice beadwork, as well. I have no idea how old it is. It was 75 cents.I LOVE the shoe pin cushion!! That is so cute! I sew and I love miniature shoe collectibles, so that hits my "Love It" meter in two places. The cameo is very pretty and what a bargain on the nut dish. Great job today!
I remember having dolls similar to these when I was a kid.I also bought the Native American made doll on the end in all white yesterday, even came with little wooden snow shoes and poles. The other two I already had, they are made between the 60's-70's. The two dolls on skis are Knickerbocker dolls, they are hard to find with the ice skates, they were called ice follies and were made in the 40's.
Stamped letters on Native pieces are usually the jewelers initials.@stracci2000, thank you! That swan pin, I was like I have to have it even if it's just for a little while!
This is the stamp on the back of the earrings, I was thinking they might be Zuni but I'm not super familiar with Native American Jewelry.
You need to get your ears pierced, so you can start wearing all these earrings you are finding!Ah interesting, see you teach me so much, thanks for that! There was another pair of studs that I've seen while looking for these online and were definitely Zuni that I didn't get, it was kind of amazing to see trays and trays of jewelry, I think I paid $6 for the turquoise earrings btw
Holy cow, that is an amazing find!!!!Yay! The metal test kit came in the mail today.
The ring tested as 18k gold! I am thrilled!
Naturally, I tested all my unmarked pieces, as well. So much fun!
But I think I have a jewelry headache now........
