If a genie gave you one wish, and you could own a PSers whole collection (in duplicate, haha) - whose would you want, and why?

Oh- and you’re not allowed to sell it! So resale value should not factor in.

My knee-jerk reflex answer is the collection of @DorotheaBrooke. (Her pearls seen below). I love how curated it is, and all of her pieces would suit me. They are all very wearable and nothing would collect dust. I hope she doesn’t mind me sharing this photo!

(Am I following proper convention for sharing the photos posted by others? Am I supposed to ask first and then add after they say it’s ok, or do I simply accredit and tag them?)

I am in total agreement about @yssie's collection! My mind went straight to her romantic collection. Do I get to keep my own collection as well, or do I have to trade??

My collection isn’t as impressive as most on here, but it does contain some sentimental pieces I can’t bear the thought of parting from. So if I need to swap collections, I would pass. Plus, I have some great unique self-designed pieces I don’t want to let go of!

On the other hand, if I can simply add their collection(s) to mine… :Up_to_something:

The first person I thought of was @Icelover - not sure if her posts are still available, I wasn’t on the forum then but I’ve been through nearly all of SMTB since I joined and her collection was breathtaking. If I remember correctly, she had a 5 strand natural (basra) Pearl necklace, a high colour 8ct oec engagement ring, a 4ct natural fancy pink diamond ring, certified unheated Burmese ruby earrings (I think the stones were 5ct each?!), a large yellow diamond ring that I can’t remember the size of, diamond drop earrings that consisted of three large pairs of studs worn as a single earring (one of which was 6ctw if I remember correctly !!), a pair of 10-11ctw round studs AND a pair of 12ctw princess studs, and a columbian emerald necklace with an emerald upward of 30 or 40cts.

I am a bigger is better kind of person, and I would have loved each of those pieces and worn them in season and out of season!!

If I had to choose someone who is an active poster it would have to be @yssie, of course! That goes without saying!

Yes, genie I have questions.
What is this 'a collection'? Pfft, do you know where you are? How will we do this? Is it timed? Will I be disqualified if I collapse under the weight in the first round? What about storage?
But most importantly, where is your greed? Where. Is. Your. Greed?!
You know what? I don't trust this genie. It lacks scale. It lacks vision. :wink2:

There isn't a Wolf box in the world deep enough for my aspirations.
I have died, drooled, passed out, developed owl vision and more for the pieces and collections of my lovely PSrs. And I meant every one. :lol: :tongue:
 
Great thread but I can't possibly choose.... there are so many that I love. Catmom's, Zestfully bling, Yssie, Missy, diamondseeker, Christy-Danielle to name a few!!

This is so hard! To narrow it down to one that is! The first person that jumped to mind was @ForteKitty and @Sparklemore but gosh there are so many out there!

After seeing her collection recently @carbonfan also comes to mind; also @HS4S_2 has impeccable taste but I would want to include the stuff she sold too lol!!

Oh yes, @ForteKitty has some stuff I have dreamt of, and also @Niel has a snake ring and a snack necklace that would make that a wish list collection for me…
 
I love amazing old cuts so @Icelover @kama_s (I dream about her antique emerald cut in brushed yellow gold by ice rock) and @missy

@Missie1 has amazing diamond staples (have you seen her recent tennis necklace and bracelet set??)

Literally anything and everything from @yssie She has a sharp eye for detail and impeccable taste! everything is from all the top players, be they precision cut diamonds or the best the French Maisons have to offer.
 
If I am only allowed to chose just one…I would chose @missy ‘s delicious collection of old cuts and yummy earrings. But @yssie is another whose collection stands out to me.
I really do love so many pieces/collections though :lol:
 
Such a fun thread. So I’m definitely getting @yssie collection. OMG where do I begin. Her pieces are so well curated and I love love her VCA collection so I’m definitely getting hers. @mrs-b and @missy collections are definitely coming. Their diamonds are just magical. There are few others collections I love but I need to go find them. I will add later. .

but seeing as i don't want to be greedy i won't fight you over them if i can have @MakingTheGrade - she will know what i have my eye on

There are way too many exquisite collections to choose from! I would like to be member of Rent the PS-one collection per night of the week. I could probably pick 7 top collections...
 
If I had to pick just one it would be @Neptune Something about her collection I just love. Maybe it’s her sense of fashion too. It just make such a statement to me.
 
Oh, wow. I wouldn’t have guessed that so many people love my pieces so much, that’s so flattering! And also humbling and eye-opening - I guess I’m kind of used to having them around! But I can tell a story about every single piece… And each is really special to me ❤️

I seriously don’t know how to pick just a few!! My favourites folder has pictures shared by more than a hundred members, I just covet so many other people’s jewels :lol: I’ll sign up for @lulu_ma’s Rent the Collection programme :bigsmile:
