Whose collection would you want, and why?

I believe Audrey Hepburn said, "Happiness is health and a short memory." I must be very happy because my memory is very short. I can't always recall which tiny treasure belongs to which lovely PS-er.

But I have a vivid memory of @Niel's ring family, which was my inspiration when I first joined PS. I also recall @icy_jade's gorgeous collection on an octopus. I remember actual octopus jewelry, too, which I adored but can't find now.

I love @Catmom's creature collection, and I've enjoyed @RunningwithScissors' VCA journey. Her whole collection is divine.

So today I learned that I just want everybody’s bling. Big or small, I love it all. Still, I tried to narrow it down to a few (because there’s no way I could pick just one. And because I’m a good PSer, I included pics.

If a genie gave you one wish, and you could own a PSers whole collection (in duplicate, haha) - whose would you want, and why?

Oh- and you’re not allowed to sell it! So resale value should not factor in.

My knee-jerk reflex answer is the collection of @DorotheaBrooke. (Her pearls seen below). I love how curated it is, and all of her pieces would suit me. They are all very wearable and nothing would collect dust. I hope she doesn’t mind me sharing this photo!

But if I wanted a personal, at-home museum, it would be @yssie all the way!!

@Tinkybell sapphire is the absolute G.O.A.T.

@Acinom sapphire and Paraiba take my breath away

@elle_71125 tsavorite, red spinel, purple sapphire, pink sapphire kill me every time I see them (which isn't enough. Girl stop hiding them, especially the spinels! Lol)

And @missy opal is the be all end all.

And then there's the diamonds they they all have...sigh.

My first stops on this hypothetical, genie-enabled marauding would be @Neptune , @HollyC and, of course, @yssie .

Neptune’s ring collection includes a (generous) example of every gemstone I’d like to own someday, all executed in clean, fresh-yet-timeless settings. She wears them so well, too. I would love to borrow all of her shocking-colored furs and such. Pretty please.

HollyC’s collection includes some of my favorite iconic, design-forward pieces: gold Peretti Bone Cuff, Serpenti Tubogas watch, Taffin-inspired pear-shaped diamond ring, etc, etc. Like…if I believed in ~manifestation~, I’d have a vision board exclusively featuring screenshots of her collection, lol.

And then you have yssie’s collection. Every piece is so thoughtful and comes with a story — there’s a real, harrowing journey, man. The knowledge that I can’t have the same, not for love nor money, makes it all the more enviable . Another PS friend described yssie as a true “patron of the arts” when it comes to jewelry, and I have to agree! And not just because I hope shameless flattery will inspire her to lend me a few things…
