I just uploaded a ton of inspiration pics to my ipod. I can show them to the vendors so they can get an idea of my vision. I have folders of dresses, hair and makeup, centerpieces et al. For example, I can upload pics of dresses to ask the salons if they have them in their inventory. Its a lot easier than taking pics from magazines.

So if you have an ipod, put it to use!

Laptop. We''ve lugged it EVERYWHERE. Or I''ve emailed them pics (floods of them) in advance. Ipod sounds like a lighter, more efficient, and more streamlined approach.

Smart!

Yeah, I have an ipod nano so I can just tuck it into my pocket. Its so great! The pics look awesome on the ipod.

That is such a good idea! I never thought of that. Now I''m thinking of uploading a photo of my fave dress for extra motivation if I need it at the gym. Just looking at that photo makes me want to workout harder!

Wow what a great idea!!

(long-long time reader, finally posting!)

while i had the flu right after my engagement and was too doped up to talk to vendors, i created a PowerPoint "Look Book", dragging and dropping pictures from the web.

i created a page for the bridesmaids (dress, shoes, handbag, hair), the flowers, the groom and his men, decor, etc, etc.

i then loaded it up to google's online presentation (powerpoint) application and saved.

i can access it via computer or my iphone. quite handy indeed!

creating the "Look-book" really helped to solidify all the plans and ideas that i had floating around in my head. and helped to explain what i really, really wanted, even through a few venue changes.

i highly recommend creating a "look-book" to any bride that feels lost in the whirlwind of planning.

This is so funny. I have a ZUNE with all my photos on it yet I didn't think to carry it around with me to show people. I'm hauling a stupid binder around the whole time with printouts. Duh. Thanks for the tip!

I like the look book idea too. I have a pwd protected bridesmaid and groomsmen webpage. I've been uploading photos to those pages for everyone that's a start at least.

That is a great idea. I have pictures to show friends, but nothing prepared for vendors, but I''m going to do that. Thanks for the idea.

This reminds me....I went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago and the MOH was reading her toasting speech from her laptop!! I thought that was so strange.

i''ll share!

My Look Book

i didn''t put my dress in the look book, for my man has access to it too. although he''s already seen the dress on the hanger and approves, the only photos that i have is me wearing it.

the completely fuzzy photo is of a necklace that has been worn by the bride for over 4 generations in my family. it''s not my style, but i will honor the tradition for the ceremony, then give it back before i break or lose it.

genius!! You get an award for brilliant thinker of the month!! Haha..

Very nice! I only have random ideas in terms of photos. I no where near have that kind of detail for my flowers or anything. My florist is going to come up with it based on the concept I gave her... love the detail though!
