Why is microsoft explorer so dumb??

Seriously?!

I type in www.americanexpress.com -- I get a response, "the site you are trying to find, www.www.americanexpress.com.com does not exist" DUH!

Or gmail," "gmail.com" does not exist - but we''ve used msn search to give you this link to gmail"

The worst thing is, it''s totally random, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn''t. You think a multi billion dollar company could figure out where to put in www''s and .com''s!

oh, how I hate IE. However, you can try changing your search options in the tools/Internet Options section so that searches are automatically done in Google. That might help...
