Wonderful birthday!!!

Hi Ladies!

I had a FANTASTIC birthday (no, he did not propose) but I was spoiled rotten! SO made a wonderful dinner for me and even bought my favorite dessert: ice cream cake! He gave me a few Wii games (we love to play together), the complete Sex And The City series which I was soooo excited about, the second season of How I Met Your Mother which has sort of become our show!!

The most thoughtful gift of all was a new pair of Bose noise cancelling ear buds. One of my biggest complaints about my job is how loud some of the people in my department are. The fact that SO went above and beyond just to help make my work day more bearable made my heart melt. This guy knows me through and through and each present represented something about me he loved and as he gave me each gift, he told me a little story behind it.

He also gave me this new pair of earrings that you will see below. I love them! They absolutely scream ME! When he presented the earrings to me, he also told me the carat weight and I jokingly said "what's the clarity" and he responded in very educated terms so now not only do I know he has been looking thanks to my little accidental discovery but he has let me know...so I think it is coming sooner than I had thought!

All in all my day was fantastic. The little background behind each gift made the entire process so much more intimate and it really felt like we were the only two people on the world last night. It was everything I ever could have asked for!!

What kind of ice cream cake did you get?? Huh, huh?? I''m addicted to cold stone creamery cakes--DH got me one last week and is gone on business now, so I''m eating it on my own, haha. He also tried to make me a birthday dinner, but I ended up helping him out when he chose an overly ambitious recipe. My favorite part was when he took out 3 heads of garlic and said "how should I chop all of this?" and I said "hon, how much garlic does the recipe call for?" and he replied "Um, 3 cloves?" I said "Well, dear, you have about 100 cloves there, so choose your favorite 3 and I''ll help you chop them". At least he now knows the different between a head and a clove of garlic. Anyway, what did your sweetheart make you??

Yep, Princess, my b-day was the 21st.

SO made me a delicious fillet mignon with fresh green beans and rice. It was delicious!!!!
