London topaz is irradiated topaz, very inexpensive; sterling silver is inexpensive; the white stones you say are CZ, also quite inexpensive.

The pendant portion of the necklace holds three decent-quality London topaz in terms of coloring and cut, unclear as to carat weight and/or dimensions but I'd venture to guess the center is no more than 9-10mm and the two sides correspondingly smaller.

The S/S chain looks to be okay, not terribly fine, length and clasp features unknown.

While I do think the necklace as a whole is quite attractive (I am partial myself to London Topaz), unless DH purchased the $450 necklace with a 50% discount, it is quite overpriced for what it is.

That said, if your DH bought it and you love it, well, that's that. Sometimes price is a less important factor when it comes to gift buying and gift receiving.

I second that sentiment. It’s a really sweet gift. Even if it’s slightly overpriced it’s ok. And in my opinion it’s not THAT overpriced

It is pretty.....and the sentiment is priceless!

Enjoy it, wear it. I love my London Blue. (Avatar photo)

OP - just noticed my typo in my post above, using a $450 cost for your necklace when (as your photo and post clearly state) its cost was $350 ... sorry for the typo!

While I was think it is a very pretty necklace, I think your husband did overpay for it. If my husband s and have it to me, I doubt I would tell him he overpaid. I would just wear it and enjoy it if I were you. If the stones nes were set in white gold instead of silver, I think $350 would be a fair price. However, diamonds always add more to the cost than I think they will. I’m not sure what a fair price would be if those were diamonds instead of cz. Enjoy your lovely necklace. It was sweet if your husband to buy it for you!

Fair brick and mortar retail price would be $150, but I've seen similar necklaces priced at $50 online. It's the thought that counts though.
