I need to rant about WoW!!!
Started playing WoW with FI in early 2006. Our guild has always been small, intimate, family, close RL friends with some old online friends. Long before the first xpac, BC we leveled and played with FI''s friend *T*. *T* is such a jerk. He''ll do really generous things so that he can get away with being a really crappy friend. No one ever wanted to tank and *T* would, but he thinks it gives him the right to be a jerk when people don''t follow his directions.
He can be a great tank when he''s in a good mood but mostly he just wants to bitch about how people aren''t doing things his way, how they don''t understand that tanking is hard, etc.
Considering how many really good tanks, with pleasant attitudes that I''ve raided with, pugged heroics with, etc. I know a sh*tty attitude isn''t a necessary trait for the job. However, no one ever wants to tank cause its a thankless and sometimes less than rewarding job, I will give him that.
Back in February, FI and I took a WoW break. We''d been playing regularly since 2006 and herding the cats even when they are your friends and family is just too much. We got to the point that people would leave their cell phone number and a msg to text them when it was time to raid
A lot of guildies took a hiatus or joined other guilds or moved onto other games; *T* included. We started playing again in May. He got himself kicked from the guild and came back to us.
We were pugging Naxx 10 man the other day and everyone got excited for raiding again. So as an officer I put a guild message of the day regarding our scheduled raid time. Immediately someone else says, "But what about *T*? I don''t think he can make that time." I fired back, "I''m not here to accommodate his schedule. We have geared tanks, healers and dps. We don''t need him!"
If I could gkick *T* I would totally do it
