That is my ring ^^^^^ and this is a really sweet band I found on ebay. The seller kindly sent me some pictures of it next to a solitaire. The only issue is that it's a 6.5 and I'm a 4.5, he says that sizing won't be a problem? I don't mind if you can tell on the bottom of the ring but I don't want the sides and top to be warped or comprimised. Anyone out there with advice?

my concern is that sizing of that band will distort the patterning and it wont make up where it is put back together.

It does look like rhee is a sizing band in the back But most people don't recommend sizing a ring more than one size as it cna distort the ring.
good LUCK

If it is a bargain it might be worth a punt as it is very pretty. Are you a 4.5 all year or are your rings tighter in the summer. What I mean is do you need to size all the way to 4.5 or could you have closer to a 5 without it falling off, if so maybe it is do-able?

But 6.5 to 4.5 in a patterned ring sounds risky.

Thanks for your advice Amysbling, lovemybling and Steal. I don't know what to do. I really love the band, it's 2.5mm not too small and not too big. It's really pretty but don't think it's a bargain at $425 however it's a decent price. But 2 sizes down is a bit scary and not returnable. Lots of thinking and browsing ebay to do!!

$425 is an awkward price point... hmmmm.

I though about this last night and it might be also possible to moderately size it down - say one size and add sizing beads to take the internal dimensions to 4.5.

Also you have a ready made preggo ring - for when your fingers swell!
;))

Hmm, could yo size it down one size and then put in one of those horseshoe sizers inside?

I really don't think you're going to be able to size it down that much without distorting the design. If it were $200, I'd say go for it, but with the possible issues.... meh.
