Would you put this aquamarine in a halo?

The cut is really unique and it’ll definitely go in a ring. The color is less blue and a bit more green in person, somewhat a mix between the photo and my video. Would you put this aquamarine in a halo?

I can't imagine a halo, however, I can imagine the stone being set North-South with at least a couple of baguette steps.

I would, but not a regular halo of small round melee. I would put that in a ballerina halo, with thin baguettes/step cuts.

No, IMHO in that the straight lines of the CS would not pair well with the curves of pear side stones or other side stones with curves such as oval, heart, moons etc...

Step cut traps or step cut bullets would be my other suggestions for the same reason.

No, no halo or not a normal one. Maybe one with a gap between the stone and the halo with the halo in the same shape as the stone, just to keep the same vibe.

IMO it would also look good with sharp triangular (not trillions, not rounded) or kites (superman symbol) sides that would continue that straight line.

The top left is my favorite. The halo lines perfectly accentuate the center stone.

I can see it either way, but if there is a halo I think doing a bezel around the stone to make sure the shape is accentuated would be to my personal preference.

I'd also consider a baguette halo (in blue sapphire or green emerald perhaps?), maybe something like this?

Thanks for all the ideas! It looks like halo preferences are evenly split. It’ll most likely be set east west as the color and tilt performance look best in that orientation.

This isn't your shape but the lines of the concave worked well with the smaller channel set halo.
