Wouldn''t it be great if we could get "bridal leave" from work?? You know, like how new moms get maternity leave! Cause seriously I haven''t gotten any work done since being engaged, and I don''t see the situation improving till after the honeymoon!

Between last Friday and next Tuesday, we''ll have done the following:

a. Picked up our wedding rings!
b. Booked our place
c. Gotten my veil
d. Booked the JP (who I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! I think she''s going to be my favorite part of the wedding!!)
e. Met with florist and photographer (and hopefully book both)
f. Pick out cake?

So really, how is a bride to get any work done between all that??

You are Brilliant!!!!!!! i definitely need that!!! I have had to plan the whole thing basically alone injust 3 short months!!! Thankfully all has gone very well,a nd everything is done with just 3 weeks to go!!! but boy is my stress level HIGH!!!!!!!

Good for you, Amy! We're planning ours in just four months, so we're on the same page in terms of getting it all done quickly! Knock on wood, things seem to be coming together for us too, and I think it's pretty exciting this way -- every day, something new gets accomplished! But it sure would be easier if I didn't feel like I was sneaking it all in during work hours, you know?

And don't even get me started on what a time-suck PS is for me! :) (but a good one, a good one!)

So yes a few months of paid time off where I could just browse the Internet, visit vendors, and play around with my hair and makeup would be ever so useful and fab!

Oh and good luck in three weeks!! How exciting!

I''d vote for that!
