I just bought my first diamond ten minutes ago! I''ve been looking for a while now, while reading these forums and doing my research, and I think I found a perfect diamond with which to propose to my girlfriend! I just ordered it set in a simple solitaire ring from James Allen (wonderful website and online/phone customer service, I was blown away) and it should arrive in a few days! My funds were limited to around 3000 dollars, but I found a 0.74 carat, G-color, VS-1 clarity, GIA cert''ed ideal cut stone (ex polish and symmetry) for $2680 (with the pricescope discount, of course) and I couldn''t be happier with it. I love the fact that JA offers the 30-day return policy and everything, it really helped make this purchase "mind-clean" for me! I know it isn''t anything as extravagant as most things people here ask about, but I''ve been going crazy with the decision, so I thought I''d vent and share my excitement. Thank you to all the posters who have always provided great info to others, I learned so much from you. Once I get the ring in hand, I''ll be sure to update this and maybe post a pic.
