HI ya''ll:

Saw the cutest advent calendar today for cats and dogs! Keeping in mind that most of us have pet--what are you getting your "furry" loved one(s) for Christmas?

cheers--Sharon

My doggies are getting the big dog package from Costco. Has everything they would want - treats, fluffies to destuff, kongs, etc. Doggie Nirvana.

For my barn kitties, I cook them chicken livers. They love them.

I got my two babies one of the those water fountain water dishes and for anyone with a cat, I would HIGHLY recommend it. I gave it to them early because I was so excited about it and they absolutely adore it! They seem to really prefer the aerated, filtered water. And when they aren''t drinking from it, they are staring at the water falling!

I also have the water fountain purifier for my little dogs! They would always get their food into the water bowl and this keeps it clean all day! I got mine on sale at PetCo. I also got them the cutest little polka dot collars from Chrome Bones and it is adorable! They are getting some busy bones, toys, and I finally found a monkey toy with 5 squeakers because my little dog "kills" her new toy squeakers in a week and this one is lasting!!!! It is a peach monkey and even the squeakers sound like monkeys! Oh im boring everyone!!! I love my little pets and they love the holidays too! They will get some appropriate things for their size!

HI:

So NOT boring!! I always thought those water thingies could be entertainment as much as utilitarian. A couple of years ago I found the cutest hand painted ceramic dishes for my sisters dogs; they were a big hit! Love the polka dot collar idea! Too, my "niece" Tex (Golden Lab) also destroys the sqeakers in the toys in about a minute, and yet my "nephew" Buster (Sheltie) is a great preserver of squeakers! Go figure................

Hi Sharon!

More great gifts! I also ordered at LL Bean the dog tote with your specific type of breed on it and they monogram it also! I got this for the lady that I adopted my two beagle girls from. It was a great gift for her, since she carries a lot of paperwork to each adoption, so the tote is cute! LL Bean also had many great gifts for pets, I love personalized gifts. My pets are spoiled as much as the kids! They are worth it! They also had ornaments that you slide your pet photo in and on the bottom was a dangling bone that they put the name and year on! I got those! I love shopping for the girls! Linens N Things had cute toys that looked like Starbucks coffee that said Canine Caffeine and it squeaks! Its a great material too. I can''t think of the name but its a great cloth, textured! Maybe it will last more than the usual one week!

take care,

Lori/yellow

3 cats, and they''re each getting a new satiny/shiny collar with their first initial in crystals. Humans aren''t the only one''s that appreciate a little sparkle! (well I''m sure they don''t care, but I thought it was cute!)

I have a lab x staffie who love to destroy and chew on her toys (and it''s even better if it''s another dogs toys) She will be getting tennis balls (to pop) squeaker toys (hours of destructive fun) and assorted doggie treats.

our dog has an advent calender, a selection box and a load of toys for Christmas, lol

hehehe Portia has a bunch of toys and treats of course, I found an AWESOME wholesale dog website:

www.dogsoutfitter.com

and I got toys and treats for P and also our family related dogs: Greg's mom's dog and his Dad's new baby puppy...more than enough for all 3 kids....all for the awesome total of $65.00 including shipping! that's what I spend in 5 minutes at Petco for 1/2 of what I bought online usually! they also have the edible nylabones in various flavors, which are $2.50 each at Petco and about $1.20 online. so much better for the wallet! our vet recommended these for P as easily digestible for small westie piping.

my mom also made her the cutest red sweater (for walking outside at night etc) and Greg put jingle bells on her collar...hehee. oh and she's getting groomed on tuesday, it won't come too soon as right now she resembles some sort of strange mini-abominable snowman!!

We like her au natural as well but her nails are SO long that she's scratching everyone relentlessly. I let the grooming go for about 2-3 extra weeks so I could get her in right before Xmas and everyone is making jokes about her big fluffy appearance. My mom even said she looked like she was getting chunky, and I said it was JUST THE HAIR!!!

The funniest thing about the grooming (besides shorn nails) is that she looks like a different dog for a few days..so we always look forward to seeing how she'll look when she comes home. Our groomer does show dogs, is especially good at terriers and best of all he is just up the street. Up until now he hasn't done a whole lot with her 'look' because she still had puppy fur, but now that he has been stripping her for a while, her fur is really thick...so I'm interested to see what she looks like this time, aka if he gets more imaginative with her cut.

DiamondGeezer, your dog is named Molly? I LOVE IT!

That''s the name of my future dog. I am considering a Lasa Apso (sp?), or Maltese probably, with some possibility for a Yorkshire Terrier, or a small dog mix breed (if I find the right one at a shelter)...I have always wanted a little dog named Molly! Any pictures???

I''m getting my girls stockings filled with rawhide!

:)

DL23 - TOO CUTE!!!! I love labs!

I had one growing up and now I have a "nephew" which i spoil just as much as the real niece and nephew! Lots of bones for him to chew on this Christmas!

Funny, my Molly will be white most likely (that''s how I envision her)...and I think you have my dog, DG!!! Can I steal her?!

Aww Molly is a cutie...she's got that serious Westie look.

I love all dogs, but as far as pure white smaller breed dogs go...I think Westies are some of the cutest. Or maybe I'm just biased.

Hehe. Though I have seen a cute mix of a bichon and a westie, she was adorable!!

My parents have a beagle named Molly. Greg's friends wife is named Molly and for the longest time I would always envision Mollythefriendswife as a beagle.

P.S. Dec''s. In Style mag. had some adorable gifts for pets......"bone" china (yes, bone china with pics of bones.......so sweet!!!!!!),, etc.

cheers--Sharon

For my Basset hound, Sebastian, and my Rotthound, Buddy, Several boxes of milk bones and rawhide chews, and an evening meal of hamburger and Kibbles and Bits. For my 2 cats, Mildred and Pete, Tuna and catnip. In the mean time my wife will be giving presents of chew toys and treats for all the animals at the local SPCA.

I am getting my baby a new dish stand. It is higher and beautifully decorated and monogramed with his name. I got the first one when he was not done growing and it is was a "medium" and only a metal frame. So now it is higher (shoulder level, as recommended) so he doesn''t have to bend to eat his food. He will also get the matching bowls, greenies, rawhide, and his favorite tennis balls!

My Mom and I went shopping for our dogs today...
Onie (a cocker mix rescue) got a stuffed stingray---she likes things with long pieces to fling around...and a long bone to chew on- Plus some new skinny rawhides which she loves
Lyla (a shih tzu) got a stuffed rooster that cockadoodles and a knotted bone...plus a bag of these bacon and cheese treats which she could eat the whole bag...

I could have gone way more overboard...but refrained myself.
The store we were in had 4 poster wooden dog beds...they were so cute!
