I''m happy to share that I actually found a fab sapphire that I really love. I only have the pic from the website but I hope that will do for now. I found Daniel Stair''s website from a recomendation on PS and he was so helpful in working with me. I haven''t seen the gem in person but the pic on my moniter looks so good I can''t wait. Here are the specs.
It''s a 1.34 ct , 6.67mm, dichroic natural sapphire (it''s a cleyon blue with band of brighter green running through it) In incandescent light it shows a mild color shift to a slight purplish tone, it is eye clean and from Tanzania. It looks like Dan did a fantastic job on the cut and he priced the stone well withing my meager budget. I am so happy to have had your help here at PS. I shudder to think what kind of inky dull thing I would have ended up with for the same $ had I gone to the mall...
Thanks everyone who helped. Here is the pic. let me know If I got a nice one, this is my first gemstone purhcase.

okay I''m wondering If my tech challenged self messed up posting the pic... all I see on my monitor is a red x in a white box

Can anyone else see the pic if not can anyone tell me how to post a pic
..... soooooo embarrassed

If you save it to your computer and then click "attach file" and follow the directions you should have no problems unless the pic size is too big. You could just post the URL too...

Okay one more try...
In case the picture does not post here is the address of the site where the pic can be found.
http://www.customgemstones.com it''s the 1.34 ct. sapphire listed under newest stone. Hopefully this post works. Thanks for the help posting pics.

+1 .

even the $40,000 sapphires i''ve seen in that size just look too dark for my taste........but they certainly are nice. i''d rather have a lighter one like this!
