This is so great on a whim my Fiance'' and I went to Micheal''s to get a perspective on decor when stumbled across these adorable vases/urns (whatchya-ma-call-its??) and you would not believe the price!!! originally $17.99 than reduced to $10.99 and finally $1.99!!!!!! its crazy!!! I was originally going for tall vases for our centerpieces but these are our colors and have such a country-homey feel to them! now I''m struggling with what to put in them because I think with my original idea it might be too much what do you think? any Ideas ladies??? I was still thinking hydrangeas or daisy''s or maybe non floral (cheeeaapp)???

LMAO...I wasn''t sure until I saw the "daschund" comparison!

What a great deal, no matter WHAT you put in them! (Would the daschund fit???)

Those are really nice! And what a great price!!! Charmingly country :)

Hydrangeas are so pretty and they come in a lot of color combos.

Or you could have mixed flowers... the roses would up the price, but you could substitute them for something just as pretty but less expensive.

I love love love the hydrangeas! now if only I could find them for as cheap as possible!

Very pretty! I love your avatar!

LMAO I was having toooo much fun with my veil I think lol!!! thanks robbie!

I love your find! What a shopper/thief you are! Can you really live with yourself buying them at that price? Of course you can! And I could too!!

Having your dog poise for that shot was sooo adorable. He/she actually looks as if the work at hand is understood! Too cute.

Oh, I was wondering if you could possibly post something in size comparison of your Dachshund? I mean, we have no idea how large he/she is! So...could you place a bottle of coke, or mustard, or cellphone next to that adorable little critter...?

PS. I just bought a Steiff stuffed Dachshund for my sil. It was endorsed by the AKC authority. Really looks true. You may also love to have one to cuddle.

What an adorable dog and great centerpieces! Especially with hydrangeas blooming out of them...fabulous! Love it!!!!

I love hydrangeas. But I''m tempted to put potted plants in there. Like those really lovely super full of blooms micro-mini rose bushes they sell at in the floral department of grocery stores, or the little blooming violet plants in 3 or 4 inch pots. They are like 6-7 bucks a pop and you could just pop them in there (maybe propped up on styrofoam peanuts) and cover the pot they come in and the dirt with spanish moss. I just like that idea. *shrugs*

You did say garden/country feel.

Gypsy''s ideas are great. I also see some English ivy springs. I made a bouquet for my mil that I used the mini roses gypsy mentioned. (silk ones) anyway I used reds and purple hues and mixed them/wicker basket similar to an Easter basket. Put some moss in the base and it has been the only gift of mine she has ever kept. 10 years and counting...(oh, her wrapped jewelry gift was hidden in the basket, peeking out from under the roses).

I was visualizing you also added loops of ribbon in what ever you decide to put in there. And add one bow to a handle...just one handle though, not both. Depending how country feeling you wanted...you could use raffia. Oh, what about fresh wildflowers?

Oh if there are other things you want to incorporate...I think that pattern on those containers can be easily duplicated on something else. Candle holders or something...
