I can't wait to see it, @Mamabean!! I am contemplating/shopping for a heart shaped diamond also, to set in a pendent. I spent over an hour at ID Jewelry the other day, looking at several stones and comparing, etc. It was so fun. I put a deposit on one of the hearts, but I asked to see several more because of pricing. :kiss2: [I wish we had more heart emojis!!!!!]

@Fabulous50 I would love to visit ID jewelry! What are you planning to do with your heart diamond?
I will relax when it’s actually shipped. I eventually told David what happened...that I purchased the same diamond. He said it actually happened to him! I think it wasn’t available because of a glitch in the system. After MY hold expired it became available again. That’s how I was able to purchase it. The fact that I looked through so many diamonds and picked the same one is proof it was meant to be! Please post pics of the heart diamond you eventually get!

I will! Visiting ID Jewelry was a real treat, because they also seem to enjoy the process. At one point, Yekutiel brought out a 9+ carat heart shaped diamond pendent and let me try it on! It was so fabulous.
I am planning to set mine in a pendent as well when I find the right diamond and the timing is right. Please share yours as well!! It does sound meant to be!

It’s not really channel set, what’s this setting type called - anyone know?
 
@Rfisher that's so pretty! Looks like perfect single cuts. I'd call that chanel set, but I could be wrong. Maybe they are burnish set + channel?
 
Looks to be channel set as no metal “beads” prongs holding the stones?

It does look channel set to me..It’s very pretty!

I think the very visible metal inbetween the stones sitting just below the girdles isn’t what I’m used to seeing as a typical channel set.

I agree that this doesn't seem like a typical channel setting. My channel set band has empty space in between the diamonds instead of metal. Yours is so unique and gorgeous!

I’m going to look again when I get to Maryland today..I’m going to stick with my original plan to do a stacking bezel ring. I have to have something in a baguette halo though..I just love them! I don’t know how that would look around an asscher diamond. I think I may just want that to be a soli..:think: My birthday is Monday...I have no idea what my mad money gift is. When I went to IDJ to look at hearts, I saw one that I actually put a deposit on. Its bigger and more expensive than what I had in mind, but I loved the shape (kind of bigger lobes and very very heart shaped, if you know what I mean!). Anyway I have been dreaming about it, and I have to let it go or put more of a deposit on it to hold it now. I would really love opinions on this stone from those of you who know what you are doing, if you don't mind! I have a copy of the GIA certificate:

And i just thought about having different styles of pendant settings to be made at the same time if budget allows.

That's really pretty! From the UK, you say? May I ask where from? We don't see a whole of lot UK vendors on here.
