Rose cut diamonds are just so magical.

They truly are! I just lent my mum my rose cut ring and she loves it and has been showing it off to her friends. I remember when I first got it years ago she already had a soft spot for it lol.

Today I did what I don't ordinarily do.

I bought a new piece of bling that WASN'T on my long-term wish list.

I bought a preloved Fabergé egg pendant!!!!!!!!!!

I think its all the stress I've been under work-wise these last three weeks. I was ready to pop, blow a gasket.

I've always loved Fabergé eggs, and honestly I really need a necklace. I don't have any necklaces at all other than a plain gold chain and a strand of Mikimoto pearls. With all the Zoom calls I'm on, my neck has been feeling really bare lately. I have a peach-colored silk blouse I'm hoping this egg will look fabulous with!

Love love love this!!! A true heirloom. So jealous!

It looks darker, but that's OK! I think the low color ones are interesting and exotic.
I have a darker one, it's probably an O or even lower. But I love it.

Thank you both. She was so happy to have it. First thing in the morning she asked me to take a photo of her with it hahaha. Its a beautiful ring that needs to be worn and shown off so I'm glad my mum is able to give it a loving home. I also reminded her that Rose cuts get dirty quickly so she needs to clean it regularly. She has a morning routine of brushing her teeth and brushing the ring too lol.

Long ago, a girlfriend had the dirtiest engagement ring. She wore it constantly and never bothered to clean it. As a last resort, I suggested to her that she scrub it a little while brushing her teeth, and she started doing it! Not an ideal solution, but it worked for her!

It's this one. Pawn shop, OEC, just over a half carat. I posted about it a long time ago. It faces up pretty bright in certain lighting, and in others it looks moody.

@stracci2000, I am really not color sensitive apparently because that diamond does not look that low color to me. It is super pretty though!

@Paisley2628, this is a vintage ring I had favorited a year ago and then it disappeared and now it’s back again! I came upon it going through my favorites trying to clean up my list.
