OK last one! lol

oooh, you guys are the best!

i like the second to last you one you posted the best, LTS (minus that shoulder thingy.) who makes that dress? i like the one amyi posted too.

i can already tell that it''s going to take me FOREVER to find a dress . . .

If it takes you forever so what, it''s supposed to be special, God willing we only do this one time! So we might as well have some fun!!!!

The second to last dress is by Ramona Keveza her work is similiar to Carolina Herrera. My favorite designers are Carolina Herrera, Ramona Keveza, Reva Mivasagar, LeEzu Atelier, Carmela Sutera, and the completely unaffordables, Vera Wang & Reem Acra!

i''m five eight and a half so i could probably pull it off. but, i bet if i actually tried it on i wouldn''t like it. sigh. anyone know approximately how much her dresses are? i promised myself that i wouldn''t let myself fall in love with some $8000 gown. (i''d rather have a less expensive gown and a nicer wedding band!

)

Wait wait Reena, let me get this straight here: You''re tiny, tall, smart (Hello, Harvard law!), you have a wonderful fiance and a freakin disco ball on your skinny little finger??? Is there something in that NYC water you ladies are keeping from me?? C''mon! Share the wealth with a poor midwesterner!

Hee hee!!

I found this dress that you might like on the Mon Cherie website, Destination collection, carryover styles.

And I like the pattern on this one. Same place.

oooh, okay, i also like this one. (but, strapless.) do you guys think the big bow is too much?
The dress with the modern type bow in the back reminds me of the dress that Rene Zellweger wore to the oscars.....well, one of those awards shows. I don''t follow them very much. But I like it. It''s different.

Ooooh! Crocheted sheath dress!! Same location as previous 2.

Don''t know why I like this origami back but it''s different!

And this Amsale gown is gorgeous from the back.

oh wow, you guys are GREAT with the dresses! i think i like the last one the best. and D4M--you''re totally right about the renee zellwegger thing! it looks very similar to that. thanks so much for helping me (not to mention for the nice compliments JCJD!)

here's another one that i like (which MMM found for me!). i think the neckline would look good on me and i love the asshugger back (lol). thing is though, this probably falls into that "too plain/any old white dress" category. maybe something similar to this but with a bit more detail?

MMMdress.JPG

LOL Reena! You totally asked the right crowd to help you find wedding dresses! I don''t think that dress you posted would be too plain for a wedding dress, depending on the style of wedding you''ll be having. It''d be great for a small outdoors spring/summer afternoon wedding, perhaps at the Montage...

Gorgeous dresses. I have seen the Romana with the pleat/ruffle in action. Just gorgeous. Reena, I think for your frame a nice straight gown would defintely accentuate. FYI, Saks has a sale in its bridal department. I think you have to call to make an appt, but the gowns are 50 - 70% off. I love Justina McCaffrey''s work too.

One day when styles have changed your child will ask, "Mommy, why did you get married in your nightgown?"

When all those Romona Keveza dresses got posted I remembered seeing this one, which I saved on my computer because it reminded me of Melissa Sue''s grandmother''s dress and the Melissa Sweet dress both she and Reena gush over. I think it is one of the most beautiful sheath dresses I''ve seen, but obviously quite expensive. For less expensive sheath wedding dresses, I''d suggest Nicole Miller on top of everything else that''s been posted.

This is exquisite...and (as you say) timeless. It could have been worn by Melissa''s grandmother and would be stylish on Melissa! I wish I could have worn it!

yanekie-wow! i like all four of those! that''s a record or something. moremoremore! (thats a request, not the person.) what are your favorite sites for browsing? more importantly: HOW did you post those pics without uploading? i thought we couldnt do that anymore after the upgrade.

AGBF--lol! you''re probably right though. :)

abra--that IS a pretty dress. may be too covered up though. i dunno.

Reena~

Here''s a GREAT site for wedding dresses which I used to help narrow down my favorite dresses and designers. I would post my dress, but my FH tends to lurk on here to see if I''m procrastinating on my dissertation or being good, and I don''t want him to see it before the wedding! At any rate, here''s the link:

I really love this dress too.. I proably wouldn''t have the boobs for it though.. If you remember who the designer is let me know though.. cuz its very me..

im going to davids tomorrow.. there are only like 3 dresses in the whole store that i even like a little bit.. If my mom comes with me maybe i''ll get her to take some pics of me in them (if i don''t look atrocious). I wanted to go to two other "Real" bridal shops tomorrow too, but they want you to have an appt. and they were closed today when I went to call them. So it is probably going to have to wait til next thursday.

Meanwhile, I am procrastinating.. I have a paper due in 11 hours.. and.. I''m on pricescope.. but FI is on the other comp on buffalobills.com and he has one due tomorrow too..

thanks researcher i am definitely going to check that out! also, i am going to have to get all sorts of local wedding info from you if we end up getting married in the SD area, which looks likely. is that where you are getting married too? or elsewhere?

melissasue i love that last dress too. i have the same lack of boob problem though. lol. also: go bills! my dad is a huge fan and he doesnt have any sons so i was always the one to watch the games with him when i lived at home. :)

You can definitely call me for info on weddings in SD! My dad is a minister and marriage and family therapist, so he gave me a ridiculously long list of the best places for weddings with his opinions on, and insight into, the various sites (for instance, at one of the most beautiful country clubs the bride has to wait by the huge trash bins before walking down the aisle (something they don't tell you until later)). My FH and I went to almost all the places on the list so I can definitely give you some input!

Although we looked into SD sites, we've decided on Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. county. I really wanted a church, and my FH needed us to be on the beach or as close to it as possible. So, we were really limited but found the PERFECT location!

I know this is off topic (sorry everyone!), but here''s our "little" church!
