I''m finally on Fall Break (phew!), so I was able to get some wedding stuff done!
36.gif

From Friday to Monday, I:

- Bought my undies (I know it''s early, but I needed some retail therapy after 4 midterms in a week!);
- Bought my DIY invitation kit at Micheal''s;
- Bought a bow-making book for some DIY decoration stuff;
- ORDERED MY WEDDING DRESS and the bridesmaids dresses;
- Booked my florist;
- Figured out how to make my STD magnets myself.

I love the invites... They''re so stylish and pretty, and come in plain envelopes so it''s not over the top. I''m really excited about all the DIY stuff, I''m a crafty girl and I love making stuff! My wedding dress... It was the third time I tried it on and every time it was like falling in love with it again. My mother and grandmother LOVED it! They were so happy and proud.

Here are my invites:

Here is my dress (I ordered it in white/blue pastel):

I do have pictures of it on me, in white/pink, but I may have lost them (

). If I haven''t I''ll post them asap.

yay doesn''t it feel good to cross some stuff off of your list of things to do!!!!

And here are my BM dresses (ordered in Indigo).

May I ask how to do them. I am thinking of making DIY STD magnets as well but I have not figured out how to do them????

We are going to print them on a thick white paper, cut them with a paper slicer, plastify (is that a word?) them and them glue a thin square magnet on the back. HTH!

Plastify...that''s the word I''m going to use for what I did to my luggage tags! Are you going to laminate them yourself?

Yay Date-Twin! I love hearing updates on your plans!!
Everything looks wonderful! I adore your gown and the BM and MOH dresses! I love how you are having that blue/indigo "connect" you and your girls! How great and sweet!

I wonder how long it will take for your dress to come in! I''d LOVE to see pics of you in that sucker!
- - - I already got my dress in! - - - ha! I have no idea what to do with it now! ha!

Yay for crossing stuff off the list!! I wish I could have a bunch of stuff to cross off as well but there''s not much else I can do right now. FI is on vacation with his family. On the other hand...I still have to finish my DIY invites!!

Oh, girl, I understand some retail therapy! haha. It''s great that you were so productive while doing it! How was Michael''s? Do they have some great DIY kits/books?

Well, I have a picture - but not of me in it as of yet....I''ve yet to have my mother volunteer to strap me in for some pics! ha! I''m actually going home to visit my parents this weekend and I will try to take a few good pics of me in the actual dress...

Here is my dress from the Maggie website - mine is an off white color with a taupe sash :)

Retail therapy is the best cure for exam rush ever. I LOVE Michael''s! It really sucks that we don''t have them in Qc so I have to go to Ottawa to get some stuff... But I love it. I''m a crafty girl and it''s like a candy store for crafty people! I got my invitation kit and bow-making book there. I told my FI I''ll probably get my ribbon for the bowsthere and he just smiled and said: "you just love going there, don''t you?" Yes!

wow you''ve got so much done in a few days! I can''t wait to book my venue so I can start planning!!

Anchor, thanks for the update-
I remember your dress search and wanted to say again how much I love the one you ended up ordering,

Are your bm dresses alfred angelo separates? If so, just wanted to say that my 3 bms (my beautiful sisters) loved them, and they looked beautiful and felt comfortable because they could pick what suited them.

Congrats on getting so much done- and can I say I''m slightly jealous of the Michael''s shopping- I miss DIY stuff, but only a little

Retail therapy though- always a great thing

I seem to be a binge planner. I get nothing done for a long period of time, then it takes me a week to do half my planning.

Getting the venue booked before the rest is definitely the right way to go. It really sets the tone for everything else. How's the search going?

Hey labbie! Thanks for the compliments. I''m really happy with the dress too, I''m glad I found a dress I was able to try on and felt totally me. My MOH''s dress is an AA separates. She wouldn''t have had it any other way, and it was fine with me! My BM''s dress is a one piece, but I love how the silhouettes match. In fact, all our dresses are from Alfred Angelo, I just love this designer! The designs, colors and fabrics are fabulous, and I love the prices too.

There''s one venue that I have my heart set on and we''re going to see it in two weeks. Here''s a picture of it

Nice venue, bee! Good luck!

So, good news everyone! The pictures my mother took of me in my dress sample are not lost!

She should be sending them to me today or tomorrow.

It all looks so good!!! Have you ordered your AA dresses yet? Our AA bridesmaid dresses took way longer than they told us so be sure to give yourself plenty of time! We had a time crunch for alterations because of the delay. I asked around and it''s pretty standard with them.

Yup, I ordered all 3 on Saturday. They should be in in February (4 months), which is still early! It wouldn't be a problem even if they took twice that time to come in.

Can''t wait to see the photos Anchor!!
