Here''s the 2.8 ct oval sitting atop an LOGR legacy. I like it in white gold.

Nice setting. Lovely collection.

Lovely ring.

Nice new pictures, TL. If I didn’t know you, I would have guessed a tanzanite too. Is your newest oval 2.9 ct spinel the “blue” one you showed me earlier? I like the setting for the new violet cushion, but then again, I like dainty settings, so that doesn’t come as a surprise.

Thank you oddoneout and Lovinggems!!

Chrono,
I''m at my office today under fluorescents and it looks like a purple tanzanite. This stone has quite a lot of personalities. Thank you for the kind words. I think the dainty setting is pretty too.

Yes, that is the 2.9 ct oval I showed you earlier.

Lovely...the light purple/lavender is just so pretty.

How did I miss this? I absolutely love it in the baguette setting! Congrats, TL!!!!

Thank you Mochi, LTP.

Kim,
If you''re still reading this thread, here''s a cuprian just like mine, but slightly larger. It''s for sale by gemlineinc. He has another one listed too, but it''s more grape purple.

That is absolutely spectacular! And undoubtedly way out of my price range! I''d have to win the lottery or something to get my hands om a stone like that. ;)

Still, I love this colour in a tourmaline...

Here''s the new 2.9 ct spinel (it''s more like a purple/blue) with two lavender spinels of much greyer saturation. I thought this was a pretty cool shot, and I think the really bring out the color of the larger one more. This new spinel goes more purple in incandescent light. Thanks for looking!!

love the baguette ring, and the halo ring.

I really love this stone. This does look a lot like tanzanite.

I almost missed this thread. Grrr...

I so love the baguette setting. It really made the spinel stood out. Very beautiful piece as always.

It''s lovely!!!!!!!!

Thank you to everyone for their kind words. I really appreciate them.

Wonderful! Can''t find your post about the spinels from Multicolour so I have to put it here. Do you remember "the song of songs?" King Solomon, Old Testament? He met her when she was picking grapes in a vineyard. These grapes must have looked like your rose-violet tourmaline. King Solomon won''t pass by it!

Thank you Crasru. You certainly have a way with words!!

Here is the link on the Multicolour.com Mahenge spinels I returned. Now please keep in mind that many people adore Multicolour.com, and they are a very reputable firm. I was just unhappy with these particular spinels, and I explain why in this thread.

Sorry I missed this thread....! Nothing like a classic baguette setting with such a gorgeous periwinkle spinel in it!!!
