My diamond touched down in Auckland this morning and the jeweller should have it by end of day

I am sorry to hear things aren't looking up as yet, but thank you for the link to the thread on Liza Mae (love that name btw!).
I am usually a puppy over kitty person, but she is just adorably pretty I do hope she is bringing you much comfort and entertainment.

I do have an exciting update to share - my OEC arrived safe n sound at RDG in Auckland this morn, and the process is already under way -
they have been kind enough to deliver my diamond to the local lab for certification before setting (mostly to satisfy my curiosity),
and Mike thinks he will have the beginnings of the ring started early next week for me to approve and move forward

I know this thread has been lacking a lil in eye candy of late, so I thought I would link to RDG's FB page where they have many beautiful sketches and completed pieces posted up: **Link removed by moderator. PS policies do not allow linking to social networking websites for privacy and security**

I love checking out the whole creative process, such as the sea horse pendant they are currently making - and especially how well the completed pieces are represented by the early water colour sketches...

Here's a couple pieces from their "art collection" which I admire.

I love to fawn over their FB page..
This seahorse pendant is going to be the sweetest thing when complete - I wish I were more of a pendant person, they present
a whole lot of versatility in design..perhaps I will need to make an exception for an RDG pendant in future

btw, aren't we due for a pic update on that smooshy adorable bub of yours in your av..its snickers right?

Hello Cachette - thank you! I agree, they are such unique and fun pieces.
Sending the diamond was a small ordeal, as just like insurance, shipping here in my experience is really not up to speed or tailored to covering jewellery..

Can you believe one Shipping Co gave a quote at one stage of $1800 just to get the diamond from me to NZ??!!

Anyhow, obviously I found a more reasonable method and everything went to plan.
Thanks for the well wishes, can't wait until I can post my own eye candy here!
