-42C today with windchill here in Saskatchewan! I am anxious for it to warm up to -20C so I can hot tub outside!! We just got about 3 feet of snow this last week, but the sun is out today and it wouldn''t be Saskatchewan if the weather didn''t change minute to minute so I am hoping for some better weather soon! Even though the weather man thinks it will be a week before we see any real relief

but then when are they ever right

Isn''t that the BEST! Sitting in a hotub (with glass of wine), watching the light snow fall around you..seeing the steam all around you, and the cold, crisp air. It just doesn''t get any better than that..winter..gotta love it! How boring would it be if it were hot and sunny all year round. Gives us something to look forward to (change of seasons), but by the end of summer, I''m tired of the heat, and anxious for fall and winter!!

They are predicting -27 tonight. That is w/o the windchill even, not sure what the prediction is for that temp. I''m afraid we may all be frozen into our homes in the morning. I have to leave for work at 6 am and wait at a bus stop for a city bus to get me to work. I almost actually had a panic attack waiting for the bus this morning. I was so cold and thinking OMG I am going to freeze here. I can''t run back across the street to the parking lot to get into my car because I will miss my bus, the bus isn''t coming, what if I freeze waiting for it.......than I took a deep chilling breath and the bus was there....

A city water main pipe froze and burst yesterday across town. The water was running down the street and freezing so fast as it flowed up from under the street. Now that is very cold when that kind of thing happens.

Isn''t it though! Nothing like a beautiful Canadian winter... and the gorgeous stars up above... you just made me want to get in the tub now... but I would be a jaxcicile! Fall is my favourite time of year. We complain a little (okay sometimes a lot) but when it comes down to it I love living here...and vactioning everywhere else

Bbbrrrrrrrr!! I remember those days well from growing up in the Midwest. One of my last winters there, we actually had a night where the windchill was -60 below.

It is an absolutely beautiful day in the middle of Texas. Brilliant blue sky, and mid to upper 60s. But don''t hate us too much; lousy weather is on the way. Well, lousy for us; 30s and 40s and gray skies. Early spring weather in your neck of the woods!

Hi MC..I live in Ontario, Canada..a true northerner here!!
Miranda..you haven''t lived life to it''s fullest without experiencing REAL cold and snow! lol. (I''m hoping you have at least visited somwhere , when there was snow on the ground)? It''s chilly..for sure..but the kids dress VERY warm, and still don''t mind skating or snowboarding for hours on end!! Thanks God for my new Land''s End Down filled parka, that keeps me toasty!

Haha - Yes, I have been in the snow and in cold weather (I love to snow ski). But, never THAT cold. I think zero is the coldest I''ve ever dealt with. And that is on a vacation. We try to get to the mountains for a ski trip every year. -22 is still not something I''ve ever experienced.
