My new platinum Scott Kay setting should be here by the end of this week and I''m trying to decide on a plain wedding band. I ordered a 3mm comfort fit from e-weddingbands thinking that it would be the best match, but I''m starting to wonder if maybe a 2mm would look best and be more comfortable? The SK setting is 3.1mm wide and tapers down to 2.25mm at the bottom, and the depth is 3.7mm high and tapers down to 1.7mm at the bottom.

I''ve tried searching on PS for thin wedding bands with wider e-rings and haven''t found that many. I''d love opinions and/or photos of thinner bands with wider rings!

Hi, have you looked into Benchmark wedding bands? They seem to have quite a few comfortable and simple designs with a decent lifetime resizing service. I saw a couple 3mm with some small diamonds in a channel setting that may complement your ering and make it appear thinner than a plain band.
An example on www.joyjewlers.com is pt513522p good luck!

Thanks! Of course my post got removed along with my enormous pic. I struggle with the same issues, though. A band that''s thin enough to go with my e-ring is a little too flimsy to hold its own on my size 6.25 fingers. My e-ring is 5mm and tapers to 3mm. My w-band is 2.5mm, which is the widest I would go with my ering. However, I want a plain band too, and can''t decide between 2 and 3mm. Flat stock would look best with my ering, but I think half-round looks best alone. Quite the agonizing choice. And then add in WG or platinum and my head starts spinning.

Sorry to go offtopic, but....

Geckodani,

Where did you get your knife-edge band from? If you don''t mind me asking?

Thanks...
I got it at danforthdiamond.com Link to the band

What about this ring? I believe it''s 2mm-ish. I''ve been eyeing it since Pearlman''s posted it...

Oh! It is to drool. There''s something about this ring I just love.
