99.2% of recent US Covid deaths were unvaccinated people

Diamond Girl, if everyone who could get vaccinated did, they’d be doing their part in keeping you safe. Instead vaccinated folks have to worry about catching the virus and having non-life threatening symptoms but still passing it to someone like you before we know we have it. Or you have to continue to stay in, wear masks, etc. :(

@Phoenix I have/had Graves’ disease..My thyroid was destroyed with radioactive iodine. I also have some skin conditions that may be autoimmune based. I’d rather not say what they are though. I’m in remission now…I had both vaccines with no reaction other than a low grade fever, headache, fatigue, and sore arm. My skin conditions didn’t flare and come out of remission for which I’m thankful. If they have a third shot for a booster I will definitely get it.

What's the point--it is an investigation with nothing proven yet?

They will try to hide the negative side effects as long as possible. This investigation will rag on forever.

You’re right, Dancing Fire—this whole “Covid” thing was a conspiracy so they could invent a “vaccine” which is really just a way of killing off geriatric white conservatives like yourself. I bet the immigrants and the transgender community are behind it, along with Planned Parenthood and Antifa.

I never said this was a conspiracy. :naughty: let me repeat ...all the elderlies should all be vaccinated ASAP! but as for young children, NO!.

Noooooooo, the Deep State (cue creepy haunted house music) was behind it and all the old people who died when the Jewish space lasers activated the tracking chips were collateral damage who reacted badly to the tracking chips and magnetization of their bodies.

If only the President had been allowed to proceed with his conspiracy-fighting bleach injection regimen!

And let us not forget that HeWhoShallNotBeNamed claimed to take hydroxychloroquine every day and that it was working and then he got covid.

So, according to your way of thinking I, and nearly all the other selfless vaccine-taking liberals here on PS, have risked our lives to save yours, and the lives of your grandchildren.

You're welcome.

I was coming to the exact same logical conclusion @kenny. I guess we're the idiots then. More fool us...

There was an article that said that nearly all vaccine misinformation comes from just 12 people—Tucker Carlson, other F*x hosts, etc, and maybe Rush Limbaugh’s rancid corpse?

What gets me about this is that Fox has mandatory covid testing for employees who are not vaccinated. Fully vaccinated employees are exempt…so what do you think the odds are that Tucker Carlson is vaccinated? Pretty high I would think.

Frankly, I'm tired of struggling with an immune disease that has not gone into remission, and in fact is flaring up "yet again". I'm tired of this horrible virus. I'm tired of all the divisive politics. I'm tired of so many people who are not empathetic to others, and think they know what's best for everyone.

Personally, I may just take a chance and get the vaccine even though it is not recommended for me at this time, because I honestly feel I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. I can't find info on which vaccine would be preferable for people with autoimmune issues. If anyone has information regarding that I would appreciate it. Sorry for the rant.

Edited to say that I lost a family member to covid, so believe me, I am not anti vaccine. However, there are people who experienced serious side effects, even death has occurred. So while vaccines in general are a good thing, I don't think we should judge people who have legitimate reasons for refusing them.

In Canada those with autoimmune diseases are considered a priority group and we were vaccinated before the general population.

I have Graves disease (autoimmune hyperthyroidism) and am fully vaccinated (moderna). My reaction to the second dose was mild at best.

I'm still in treatment for my disease, but I am healthy. Getting the vaccine did not make it worse nor did it interfere with my treatment.

Thank you so much. You've given me a lot of comfort.:-)

I’ve never had vertigo before this.

I went to see a specialist yesterday for a second opinion and she said that there is no evidence that vertigo is a side effect of the covid vaccine. However vertigo can be caused by viruses that remain dormant in our bodies including the virus that causes cold sores. She believes that we may be more susceptible to a flare up while our immune system is adjusting to the vaccine.

I hope you don’t have any negative side effects!

Editing to add that I just noticed that you have Hashimoto’s. I do as well. My thyroid panel is currently normal and I’m fully vaccinated.

Did you have vertigo after getting the jab? Do you mean vertigo in the sense that the room seems to spin at 200-300 miles an hour and you can't even get up, you just lie there until the rom stops spinning. It may or may not be accompanied by vomitting (I did not throw up in 2017 but I did when I had the second one in 2018. They were truly truly the two most horrible experiences I've ever had in my entire life.

I also have daily dizziness (swaying, unsteady, feeling like you're in a boat) which I am learning to cope with while I go about my everyday business.

Oh dear, I do occasionally have cold sores, like 2-3 times in my life. I suspect I may have dormant EBV (tested for active which came back negative).

Thank you so much for responding and for your kind wishes.:)

Wow, thank you so much, @MamaBee . So glad to hear that your autoimmune conditions were not affected adversely by the vaccine. And glad to see your vote of confidence.:-)

There will always be two sides on every topic.

Stop the fearmongering! :hand: The odds of kids dying from covid is next to 0%. All the elderlies should be vaccinated but kids no.

https://services.aap.org/en/pages/2...hildren-and-covid-19-state-level-data-report/

Do you hear yourself talking?

Death is not the only or even the primary worry for kids contracting COVID. Long term effects of COVID are scary. It can very well impact kids' health in other ways besides killing.

Human health is not all or nothing, digital ones and zeros, as you're making it out to be. If you don't die from COVID, it doesn't mean COVID doesn't do damage to your body at all.

This is from a year ago. Had it worked, do you not think that would have been proven, and people would have been given it, and hundreds of thousands of people wouldn’t have died? I give up, and pray your children are better stewards of your grandchildrens’ lives then you are.

Agree, now can anyone guarantee there will be no negative (future) side effects with these drugs after vaccination? of course not!

They won't be injecting any experimental drugs into their kid's body. Our oldest grandkid is only 3.5 yrs old.

Uh huh. If you google him, you'll come across a video of him receiving his 2nd covid vaccine on TV so it appears he switched sides.
There's nothing wrong with people who chose to be vaccinated, but don't try to force the vaccine on everyone else.

Yes, here as well. However, in my particular situation, several of my doctors did not recommend it for me at this time.

And we totally understand if you were medically advised not to take the vaccine.

It’s the ones who refuse for no good reason that baffles me.

End of the day, imo it’s down to probability:
- 1. Chance of catching covid and dying or suffering some long term effects vs
- 2. Chance of taking the vaccine and suffering some adverse reaction and dying

If chance of #1 is low as the pandemic is well controlled, then why risk #2?

But if #1 is high, then #2 is a much better proposition. Today, we are in a situation where the likelihood of catching covid is high. It will become endemic as the experts say

Also for people who can take the vaccine (ie not medically advised against it), but think that you have some underlying condition that puts you at risk of dying from the vaccination, what makes you think that you will come out of a covid infection in a better state? Chances are, the outcome of an infection will not be favorable for you right?

So I really don’t understand. End of rant.

I'll keep it simple.
Yes.
In essence, we can.
160 MILLION people have had the Covid vaccine, so far.
The chances are low. The instances of serious side effects have been extremely low.
You have a better chance of being hit by lightning.

The mRNA vaccine itself has been around and in development for DECADES.
Most side effects happen in the first 60 days of any vaccine. We've been studying that since the 60's.

(It's guaranteed) Covid infection itself will cause serious long term side effects. Especially in children. This is with original Covid variants.

The long term effects of some new variants are likely to be higher. Some will be permanent. The D variant is actively infecting more kids.
It's also going to be killing more of them if left unprotected.

The odds of serious long term side effects from actual Covid infection itself will effect millions.
The millions it doesn't kill outright.
Huge amounts of credible information is out there, and you know what it says? Everybody that physically can, including children- SHOULD GET THE SHOT.

Intellectual laziness coupled with misinformation is more dangerous than the Covid vaccine.
There really is no excusing the ignorance at this point, it's just going to make the willfully ignorant culpable for the outcomes.
