I've had this in 'my list' for a little while and I happen to love it. It is a Sri Lankan vendor but they do accept returns through the Etsy platform. Money I lack, but lists I have in abundance
* also I love an opalescent stone so that blue round is right up my alley.

Me three! I love so many shades that maybe would be passed over for type. That's what is great about color, it's all subjective.

Will do! It's scheduled to arrive next Monday.
Wondering whether or not I can justify the price I paid when I see it in real life ... now thinking about it I don't know if I should call it opalescent. Maybe it's just milky/cloudy?

I got it yesterday, here are some promised photos!
yellow lamp light:

low natural light (evening):

in front of window (morning):


It‘s more opaque than I thought due to the milky inclusion/color band. If the light hits right it reflects yellow/green.
Wondering what yall think about it is this a keeper?

Milky blue sapphire ... keeper or not?

So I just purchased this milky sapphire and still within the return period. Thought it deserves its own thread and I'd love to hear what yall think! Unheated, 2.7ct 8.5mm round yellow lamp light: low natural light (evening): in front of window (morning): It‘s more opaque than I thought...

Perhaps this thread should be titled Cloudless's Hunt for Sapphires since I kept running into weird ones I like! I'm looking at a bluish purple atm.
Or should I open a new thread documenting all these ones that I looked but did not buy, returned, or want to buy? It's sort of a learning process for me as well
