Hmmm, I personally think the first color is more interesting and can imagine a double strand in those, or a single strand with a darker blue-green-grey jadeite pendant. The black stripes kinda remind me of cat’s eye stones.
Yes they are bows. Cute but very small!
Bows are not common and you can always halo the heck out of them if you need them to look bigger
Thanks ladies! So basically fair price but if I want a better green and translucency got to drop more $$$

What do you ladies think about closed back rings? I was told in diamonds it is a nono as you can't ever clean the diamond properly. I see in with FB Jade lady's rings a lot. All the green rings have closed backs. Would that be a bad thing?
Posting in this thread too as I know a few of you look at jade in this thread.
The earrings Lil Sis bought have arrived from Jasmine. As I said in the ither thread, excellent quality. Better made than my previous purchases (They were very very very nice but these are better constructed imo).

I thought it’s the cab size thickness.
I moved us to the jade junk thread so we don't mess up the other one!
She has some posts where the thickness is including the gold and some where the thickness is just the stone.
Say this one the description is:
Myanmar grade A jadeite ring metal:18k gold & diamonds size for stone:9.6-8.7-8.2mm(thickness includes gold) price:1630usd
And this one where she describes just the stone:
Myanmar grade A lavender jadeite art pendant metal:18k gold & diamonds size for stone:17.8/14.5/8mm 8.8/5.3/3mm price:6260usd
So based on your post comparing the loose cab and the ring, I remember that ring said the thickness included gold which I then guessed that maybe the set cab is thin.
It's all over the place the stock!
@Seaglow what would be your recommended level of thickness (middle road approach assuming one cannot afford a chunky cab).
I would feel uneasy getting a fab colour but having the stone be so thin.
It’s the transluscent greens that are usually thin. The lavenders and whites can be found thick that’s why a nice thick green is worth so much. Dome shape also brings up the price. Decent thickness above 3.5mm for me but for affordable pieces say 7-8mm cabs, no less than 2mm (one vibrant greens go to 3mm, I think price escalates a lot so 2mm up provides a decent leeway for pricing). I look thicker for carvings because carvings are usually bigger sized.
Thicker imperials and emerald greens are usually more difficult to find thick than vibrant apple and grass greens so nice apple and grass greens so I would look 4mm-5mm up.
Please, seaglow, what is imperial green in jadeite? I like all jadeite of course. But this imperial green, I see it used everywhere and now m not sure what it really really is. Thank you.
