Ah hahahaha I just said I loved winter, didn''t I??

Just a week or so ago, I''m sure I said that. I''m sure that''s why we''re getting this weather now.

What weather you ask? Welllll, we''ve had sleet comimg down since 6 AM. It is coming in waves, we''re in the midst of a BIG wave now, the second one. I''m losing track, not sure if we get one more after this, or two. Then, 1-3 inches of snow. It won''t completely stop until tomorrow. Oh, I forgot, now a chance of freezing rain mixed in there, somewhere. They''re saying this is the worst storm in many years.

that''s what our weather folks *said* we''d get this morning. I actually was looking forward to a snow day. so far, not a drop of ANYTHING. that definitely is no fun ellen. can you bake something yummy to eat warm with some hot chocolate?

Monarch, since I don''t have to get out, it''s really not SO bad. As long as we don''t get much freezing rain.

I do NOT want a repeat of 2006, when we lost electricity for almost 7 full days.

mrss, the peanut butter kid actually did the baking for me.

I got him to make Oatmeal/raison cookie bars. They just went in the oven.

Oh, I feel for you Ellen. I hate ice. Bad weather never used to bother me until I fell in my driveway last year. Mr.7''s says it was my 4in. heels

No, I didn''t get badly hurt, thanks for asking, but my shoes did... When I complained about my shoes to Mr.7''s is when he got upset, rather looked at me with 4 heads and told me I shouldn''t have been wearing them in the first place.

And ok...I know he''s a little bit right, alright maybe a lot right, but we don''t have to tell him that!

Looks like we got the storm earlier than I thought. It started snowing around 3am and it''s supposed to continue throughout the day ending with sleet, freezing rain, and then rain. I can''t stand this weather anymore, really looking forward to Spring now!

Well, I know how we love our shoes, but better they get hurt than us.

We got a bit more frozen precip during the night, although hubby jusrt called from on his way to work and said the main street was quite clear. Waiting to see if we''re getting the snow that was supposed to be the last round.

Those big old flakes are so pretty, but I''ll have to tell you, I am so thankful to live in the South! We live in IL for 4 years when we were first married, and we saw enough snow to last a lifetime. It took all the joy out of snow for me! 100 inches one year!

It is cloudy and rainy here today, and I am staying in still trying to recover from being sick. I hope you stay warm and keep your power this time!!!

This has been a really snowy winter for us. Normally, the last few years have been rather mild, well, except for that stupid ice storm.

I took the children for their holiday vaccinations today. They were terrified bless them. Nobody likes needles but my kids REALLY don't like them!

Imagine me, extolling the virtues of a lovely sunshine holiday, while we are walking in minus degree weather (daddy has the car!) with our faces numb and ears tingling while almost being blown away. Now, I am a big girl but the wind is so strong today that it managed to push me around too!

I think I just about managed to excite them enough about going to Tunisia to stop them refusing to have the jabs. It was that, or me threatening them that they can't come if they didn't have them done. And I meant it too - no jabs = no holiday!

I'm not bringing no child home with Typhoid or Hepatitus A (not that I know what Hep A is, but I know we don't want it, thank you very much!)

lol I read that too fast the first time, thought it said vacations, then needles....

I''m glad it went well, but the walk there and back didn''t sound fun.

Would now be a bad time to tell you it''s been cold here today at 55? A cold front came through last night. (hehehehehe)

We didn''t get much, 2 inches at the most. And probably 1-1 1/2 iches of frozen stuff. Amazingly, the main roads arent bad.
