Here is the first rendering for a brooch (only to be worn on my winter coats.)

exciting! I wondered about this project and am happy you are bringing it to fruition! Are you happy with the look thus far? I am terrible at "reading" these things, but I think it looks great!

@lovesdogs I think it will look great. He seems to understand that I want it very 3-d like the spider is sitting on the stone. His other work is basically tiny sculptures so I am crossing my fingers.

I have an update. The spider has been cast! It is sitting next to the stone. Thus far I am very happy. The legs looks real!

He also only charged me $200! That is about 10% of all the other quotes I got. He is taking his sweet time but I could care less. I just want it before the fall so I can wear in on my coats.

He is going to remove those bar things, tarnish the silver, add the pearl and the head then set the stone. So the finish line is near. I chose mysacrum on Etsy. He is been so great to work with. He hurt himself badly and was unable to work for several months hence it taking so long. But his prices are GOOD GOOD GOOD (I thought I was looking at a 2k project) and he is very responsive. I cannot recommend him more.
