Thank you, CCN! It''s not 5ct, almost. Lets just say it''s between 4 and 5 cts. I say the exact weight or it will be a dead give away (hint).Date: 9/24/2009 10:29:24 PM

Oh My Good Gracious, is that ever gorgeous Mochi. You have really out done us all this time. I bet Lauren agog.
OK, don''t share the cutter, but what on earth is the material?
GAILEY!!!
It''s a tourmaline. If Lauren is nice, I might let her touch it!
Oh, and touch what?!?!?
Lauren, I think my next one will have to be a green color, for sure. There is one that I''m eyeing, but it''s over 5ct and I''m wondering if that would be way too big.
I have a sneaking suspicion we may have seen another rather large Asscher cut (in blue) from this cutter recently?????Date: 9/25/2009 8:17:16 AM

LD...I wish I can just say who it is, he deserves the credit for such a beautiful job. I can hint and say that this is a first purchase from this particular cutter and he is such a nice man. He answered my email so fast and was so efficient.Date: 9/24/2009 2:16:26 PM

Naughty anonymous cutter - who we probably all know who it is!!! Please step up and take the applause for a beautiful, well cut, gemstone!
Mochi - gorgeous, lovely and WOW!
Funnily enough I always think of Asschers as stand-alone gems but in the photo next to the Amethyst I suddenly wondered what a 3 stone Asscher pendant would look like with the tourmaline, amethyst and one other! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Yummy!
I think pink an purple looks pretty, also!!

Nope. But there was a post a while back with this stone in it. I had emailed this particular cutter before(months ago), but he told me he doesn''t sell through the public.
So, Mochi - I am dying to know - has he changed his mind, or did you still have to go through a retailer?
Simply... It is not Dan Stair.Date: 9/25/2009 8:54:40 AM

It is a fine gem with a gorgeous cut!
I have ruled out Peter, Barry, Gary, Gene and Jeff. I am guessing Dan Stair.
I guess the anonymous cutter has chosen to remain anonymous otherwise there''ll be lots of ladies waiting to stake him out on a fire ants'' nest (as Barry likes to say) for not having first option on it!
Thank you, Jcrow... you must be a October baby!Date: 9/25/2009 9:06:19 AM

gorgeous!! i love pink tourmaline! my birthstone
LOL!! Gailey, you''re way too much!! I really can''t say but I''m sure you''ll be able to figure it out. I wish we can email each other, then I would be more than happy to let you know who it is.Date: 9/25/2009 11:52:13 AM

You''re driving me nuts!
OK, questions. Who do you have stones from, can you list them?
If someone guesses, are you going to divulge?
Why does the seller wish to be anonymous?
Did you see the gem listed on his website? Does he have a website?
I have seen your Afghan Green Toumaline. Didn''t Gary cut that one? I love it!Date: 9/25/2009 12:00:14 PM

What hue/species are you going for?
I was after a peridot Asscher, but found a stunning ~4 ct. square cushion with a stepped pavilion, so I''m hemming and hawing over that one. I''ve got it on hold, though, but I have only a few days to figure it out.
