Coming home after 6 months (caring for my mom) and living out of a couple of suitcases, I realize that I just have too much stuff. So I am going to begin a slow destash.
This thread may get long as I add things, so starting with general guidelines:

Prices are firm, assume Paypal F&F (will invoice if you cover fees) and includes shipping in the US.

All sales are final. So please ask any questions before committing. I will be going back/forth between my mom's for the foreseeable future so bear with me if I do not respond right away. I will try to ship within a few days of a sale being final but if I can't, I will let you know before taking payment.

Diamond band I purchased preloved from Caysie. Size 8 $360

I know nothing about diamonds so here is her original listing:

I had Caysie size this up to an 8 - but the shank immediately cracked from thinning. So my jeweler replaced with an 18K WG SHANK (not platinum)

18K Italian WG bracelet. 7" spring clasp. $450

I bought this because I wanted something shiny and sparkly. You can't tell by the photos but the cut really reflects light. That being said, I probably only wore it a couple of times before I ended up with diamond bracelet.

Mint Garnet Ring 18K - Size 8 Now $375

Mint garnet is from Vance Gems. I lost the details but its about 6mm. Light mint color and sparkly! Total weight approx 3.97 grams.


18K Pink Sapphire Ring Size 8 $325

The stone is pinker than the photos show. Outdoors the stone has a slight purple modifier but not like the picture. Indoors is more a deep rose color. Very pretty stone.

Stone was purchased from Dudley Blauwet.
.99 ct (6.5x4.5mm) Pink Sapphire from Sri Lanka (Nivithigala)
Marked Natural (typically means unheated but I can't guarantee).
Setting is lightweight. Piece weighs only 2.84g.

$110 14kt Hessonite Garnet Ring

The golden-orange hessonite garnet is 4.84 ct (11.8x9.3 mm) purchased from a former PSer who originally acquired it from Brad, The Gem Trader Set in a preloved 14k setting with diamond melee on the shoulders.

A preloved ruby ring purchased from Jason Brim. Was sold as approx 1 cttw Burmese Rubies. Strong fluorescence. Size 7 $190


Heart Shaped Pendant/Enhancer $200

This is a substantial well made piece. Marked 14k and has a tiny diamond on top. It measures about 1" including the bale. The bale opens up if you want to use it as an enhancer. Approx 3.07 g.

Yes, the hessonite ring is a size 8. The ruby ring is marked 14K.

My mom had a brain hemorrhage/stroke but given her age (86), she is doing very well. Its just taken a lot of time getting her rehabbed and used to her new normal.

1.01 ct (6mm) Ceylon sapphire solitaire in 14k - Size 8
I bought preloved from marymm. She thought it was unheated but it has not been confirmed by a lab. It is a beautiful stone that I always meant to reset but trillion settings are so hard to find, so never got around to it.



1.86 ct (7.6mm) Sleepy Teal Sapphire in 18kt WG - Size 7 3/4
The stone was purchased from Chris Auletta (for those who remember him) and is from Madagascar. Clean with some minor zoning. It was sold to him as unheated but again not confirmed by a lab.





Blue Sapphire and Diamond Channel set ring - Size 7 3/4

This ring is substantial (6.49 g) and for those who love finger coverage. I actually wore this quite a bit at one time. But my mother gifted me her fancy darker blue sapphire/diamond ring so this one hasn't been worn since.

I decided to add another mahenge spinel cab to the pot...so now we have two. I am more enamored with my ruby cab so never reach for these. However, I know they are in demand and carry a premium nowadays... so hope someone else will enjoy them more.

Amethyst Ring in 14kt - $500 - Size 9 1/2

Ring is massive (11.5 g) and too much for even my size 8 fingers. For some reason, I can't find details from my purchase...just recall that I purchased it preloved on DB for a very good price.




Sugilte 14k Ring - Size 8 - $375
Substantial at 10.34 g
Admittedly, a project that didn't turn out as hoped...so selling for 1/3 of what I paid.



Tanzanite in 14k setting - $500
Sold by a former PSer as a 3.25 ct (8.5mm) fancy or "madi gras" tanzanite - trichroic, portuguese round. The setting is 14k rose gold from Schubachs with a surprise diamond under the basket.





10K Rosette Ring - $75
Dainty at 2.43 g. but beautiful. I fell in love with this ring but as you can see, it gets lost in my skin tone. Oh well .

I wasn't sure how to prices this as it was a gift from my mom decades ago. It looks like they retail for $800, so took half off. Well made with safety chain.

  • Folks have asked about treatment of the rubies. So I reached out to Jason and his recollection is that it was bought 17-18 years ago just before glass filled rubies hit the market. It is hallmarked ThaiGem and in my research, they are mass market, lower quality (although Jason said their reputation back then was better). Also in louping it, I see a small chip in one of the smaller rubies (doesn't impact wear but I know its there). So to be safe, I am marking it down to scrap + shipping. It is 14K, 2.26 g.

Thanks to those who have looked, inquired and purchased. I haven't gotten LT updated yet but will try to do so today for remaining items. I still plan to continue to add items but it will likely not be for awhile. This has taken way more time than I planned

Update
Ruby Cluster Ring has sold!

I have posted the items still available on LT with the exception of the Oval Mahenge Spinel ring. I am taking a huge loss (over 50%) and I do like it...so have been waffling a bit. That being said, since I pulled the other mahenge cab ring, I would happily let it go if there is a PSer interested.

I’ve not been on PS for a while but came back on recently and am enjoying moseying through the threads. Recently remembered a few names I realised I had not seen on PS since I’ve been “back” looking at you @Acinom and I’ve been searching specific names and last posts just to catch up! Lilmosun you were the second person I realised I had not read a current post from so search I did… and found this thread!

I’m so sorry to hear about your mum and current lifestyle of being back and forth to look after her, it takes me back a few years to when I was in a similar position with my dad and I know what a stressful time period it is.

Just wanted to say hi, hopes things have stabilised a bit more now and hope you’re all doing well.
