Mmmmmm, Samoas.... that's all I can think about, lol! My husband gets them from his office, and he only brings home Thin Mints and whatever the Shortbread ones are called..I get a little upset when he doesn't bring home Samoas (do they even sell those anymore?), but I figure it's better for my waistline if he doesn't!

Yup, they still sell Samoas! You tell your husband that he better buy you a box this year ... or your going to hold his Thin Mints hostage

... and your going to give the dog new "Doggie" treats called "Shortbread!"

Just love them cookies!

ETA: What are your favorite flavors?

A bonefide GS knows her cookies not only by name ... but by what color the box is!

Yes, I'll take 3 purple (one for each kid) 1 Green & 1 Orange (for Mom) and 2 purple (for Dad). And 1 purple, 2 Green (to put in the freezer)

I'm getting hungry!

ETA: Kids are now complaining that they should be able to have two boxes each too! Not just the adults! Teenagers eat more - ya know!

Geesh ... so it looks like:
(Kids) 5 purple & 1 green

Purple = Samoas
Green = Thin Mints

Orange = Savannahs

My mom was the troop leader at the time, and I remember hating to share her with all the other Brownie Scouts.

My mother was an assistant troop leader at one point. I was wondering why I kept imagining her in green as if that were unusual. I think perhaps because she was an (asssistant) leader while I was still in the Brownies! The leaders wore a green Girl Scout leader uniform, although we girls wore brown. By the time I was a Girl Scout the leaders being in green would not have stood out so much to me because we were also in green! Yes, the memories keep coming back!

I think my poor mother was also a Den Mother when my brother was a Cub Scout!!

I just saw several of my old ''Girls'' last night at a school pagent. I am so proud of how they all turned out. I like to think their scouting days had something to do with it.
