This aqua is a cool color, but has to be squeaky clean to be beautiful.

Sideview, oops I have to clean off the tarnish...

Mariedtiger - that doesn''t look like tarnish, but rather a join made with easy solder (high copper content), which tends to go dark easily. I have a star sapphire (cooked, diffused and very, very treated!) that I had a jeweller make a SS that does this well. It drives me crazy, specially since the joins that connect the bezel to the shank are rather sloppy, so I tend to get 2 dark spots right next to the stone.

Lady_Disdain thank you for the info, I didn''t know that. I''m really glad this is a pendant. It doesn''t bug me, because I see the line so seldom. But if it were a ring

I would have real trouble. My engagement ring is a heavy platinum band, that has a soldering line and a dot - it took me years to get over it. The high end jeweler just said it comes with hand made things. Growl.
