That''s one thing I''ve never been able to figure out, either. We got both our cat and our dog when they were young...12 weeks for the cat and 8 weeks for the dog. As soon as they were old enough, they both got fixed. Our vet said that it''s not only a good idea of you don''t plan to breed them, but it''s even healthier for the pets to be fixed if they aren''t going to be bred, especially if they are female. Besides, even if they are exclusively indoor pets there''s always the chance they can get out!Date: 8/19/2005 11:55:22 AM

definitely cute! And I am with Jen in wondering why the mother is not fixed. Unless she is a show dog that has not had her spay because she''s being bred, why do people risk these things???
I have to tell you I just peed my pants.Date: 8/19/2005 12:12:40 PM

Oh too cute! Just adorable! I love them and the mom too.
We have a local Lhasa and she is not fixed. She''s in heat right now and I feel so bad for her! They didn''t get her fixed because, get this, they did not want to ''make that decision for her''. Ummm okay well who''s going to make it then?! She''s 2.5 years old now and still not fixed. They got a rescue mini pinscher this year and he is not fixed either. Why? Oh well maybe they are thinking they can breed him. Nevermind they don''t know a thing about breeding, but maybe it''d be ''fun''. But not to the girl of course. So poor little girl has to wear a big diaper the whole time she''s in heat in the house to keep the boy away from her.
I felt so bad for her, she looked SO HUNGRY for lovin''! and all the poor boy dogs in the park who have already been snipped of course wanted to hump her but didn''t know WHY they wanted to. It was kind of irritating for my friend here who has two boy dogs and the girl kept going for one of them and even though he couldn''t do anything, it made for an interesting 30 minutes at the park.
God forbid she gets out or loose while she''s like this. She''s an inside dog but come on!
Are you kidding me? Is that for real? What is wrong with that poor animal?Date: 8/19/2005 11:33:35 AM

Jennifer said, ''No dog is ugly.''
I beg to differ.
This dog actually won the ''Ugliest Dog'' contest in Santa Barbara California.
