Big time!

... but you folks know it already, I hope.

I am an historical reenactor. I am also a garb snob, garb snark. i just don''t understand how people can be in the SCA for years and dress the way they do.

SCA - society for creative anachronism

You name it, I''m a snob about it. But my top 3 are

Jewelry
Stores
Handbags

language and grammar

people using words like "irregardless," misspelling "too," or speaking double-negative phrases like "I didn't have nothing to do with it."

eta: 78%

dang 74%

I scored a 78%...
32.gif

Ditto the language and grammar. There''s just no excuse for not having a grasp of your primary language. Grrrr...
29.gif

I guess I''m pretty snobby in general....70% on the test.

That sucks.
15.gif

70% snob here.

Actually, Oprah did a pretty interesting bit on class in America a few days back...

Anyone see it?

I am definitely class conscious, although I try not to let it impact the people I befriend, etc.

Ooooh fun thread, Meep!! I''d say I''m a food snob too except there are times I''m just as happy with a cheeseburger from the local diner as I would be with a Capital Grille steak... well, ok, not many times.
18.gif
Other than that, I''m a snob about psychology... it drives me crazy when people assume they are experts just because they''ve taken the classes or done some reading. I think I''ve come to the conclusion that good counseling is an artform more than a learn-able skill.

as long as it's a good cheeseburger, ephemery!!!

i also am a snob about using correct spelling and grammar. i don't always have it right (ALOT tee hee)...but continued bad grammar or misspellings drive me nutso. my mom is a teacher so i started learning that young!

Language definitely- I have a B.A. in English, I better know my ABCs. Books, too, I absolutely refuse to read something just because it made the bestseller list- the American public cannot be trusted to know a good book all the time.

I would be a food snob if I made more money, can''t wait until my lean years are over! Whole Foods here I come!

35% on the snob test. I''m clearly on the wrong website.

can you come over and clean my house? its a mess.
14.gif
We recently went to visit a childhood friend of my husband''s...and their house is so nasty that we stayed in a hotel! I have gone over and helped friend''s clean up and get organized! It''s a sickness I tell ya!

My husband''s friends tease him and tell him that he lives with Martha Stewart...but younger and cuter!

ETA: 59% because I refused to acknowledge the existence of the Hilton sisters!
yes...how true!!

okay ladies....stop making fun of my bad grammer
27.gif
english is my 2nd language. let see you guys learn chinese, so i can have a good laugh. hee,he.

Food
Wine
Customer service

65%

I want excellent service in Restaurants. It doesn''t have to be a fancy restaurant, just give me good service. And I want my food hot when I get it. Not luke warm or god forbid cold. Ughhh

Shoes- which is stupid because they are so easy to ruin and mose designer shoes are SO uncomfortable
Clothes- not so much on what you paid for them but how you wear them, like do they fit, match, etc.
Vodka- I will not drink cheap vodka, and I don't mean to be a snob about it, i just think it's digusting and makes you sick with all the left over crap in it

Grammar, mostly the double-negatives. Drives me nuts!

I''m a total snob about anything figure-skating related. I sounds more like Dick Button than Peggy Fleming when I watch (but I guess I''d better know what the heck I''m talking about since it''s how I make a living) oh, yah, did I mention I''m a snob about my job? You will not find a better coach anywhere (please pick up on sarcastic nature)

anything competitive whatsoever. I''m just a big fat snob about it all.

I scored a 41% btw

Language. Proper grammar is a must for me. Not that I don''t make errors, (you have to love spell check) but we had a member here recently that had the worst grammar I''ve ever read! She stopped posting after she was called on to post specs of her rings. From her very first post I didn''t believe a word she said, and it was because of her language. It got to where I couldn''t read her posts anymore because it was like nails on a chalkboard.

DF - I don''t think I''ve ever noticed you posting about a guy''s perposal story and axing about the karets of the engagment ring

Hello my name is Rod and I'm a Snob...................

I'm a food snob
I'm a fitness snob
I'm a watches snob
I'm a car snob
I'm a diamond snob
I'm a homeowner snob
I'm a furniture snob
I'm an accessories snob
I'm a shopping snob (can you say Nordstrom?
I'm a shoe's snob
I'm a vacation snob
I'm a book snob
I'm a magazine snob
I'm a clothes snob
I'm a people snob
I'm a car snob
I'm a loyal friend snob

But I'm not a snot (er snob) to impress other people. Honest. I have nice things to make me happy. Period. I don't really care what anyone thinks of what I have, but I feel that if I'm going to work hard (believe me I do) and earn a nice living (believe me I do), then I'm going to live to be a healthy old man, who drives a great car, lives in a terrific home, furnished with fantastic stuff, wear a well cut sparkly diamond, eat great food, travel to exciting places, have a small circle of caring friends and enjoy the fruits of my labor.

Wow......thanks for letting me get that off my chest. I feel ever so much better

I''m a food snob, but not in the way most people are. I refuse to buy generic labels of pasta, cereal etc. I just don''t feel like the quality is the same

I''m a linen snob. I have to have sheets with the highest thread-count possible

I''m a children snob. I think mine are the best, and no one else''s kids can top mine ;)

Noticed. Agree. Silent head-screaming about that my own self.

I''m particular about customer service, about my checking account balancing to the penny (that''s the accountant in me lol), clothes for my kids, and landscaping.

I scored 70% on that test too.

Also a diamond snob here...

Car snob (for myself only)
Horse snob
Shoe snob
Food snob
Cleanliness snob

I am also a TV snob. But, that's only due to my hubby being a TV writer. I've learned to spot flaws, writing errors etc in TV Shows. I told him, he's ruined me forever
18.gif

I got a 61% on that snob test! Hah.

ETA:
<---- Kitty snob!! I mean, look at THAT face!!

I had a kitty just like him Kitten
15.gif
I suppose I am a cat snob, being rather addicted to the Persian/ Himalayan breed
16.gif

35% snob here!
5.gif

Oh, and I am a total

Shoe snob - I love my prada shoes. Love ''em.

Bag snob - I am not proud of this fact. I knew I had reached a dangerous point when I began to think of myself as too "good" for Coach bags.

Book snob - Try to compensate for my unsnobbery re: television.

However, I am the anti:

tv snob - Reality TV, the crappier the better baby!

clothes snob - spending $$ on the shoes and the bags means clothes from gap, BR, whatever, look better!

food snob - I love great food...but I think it can be found at a deli or a diner just as easily as a 5 star place...

How are you an antisnob?
