One question, though,...
...after dragging her around the town''s rather blah waterfront...

.....Are you serious

Maybe you were in St. Michael''s on a bad weather day? It''s an especially nice place on sunny, perfect weather days.

Didn''t mean to offend, but the waterfront part of the town was not exactly what I was expecting. Mostly docks, privately owned areas, a museum, shipyards, construction area, couple of crabshacks. The weather was gorgeous when we were there, but I was kind of hoping to find a nice, grassy or wooded spot that accorded some privacy, and didn''t have any luck.

The downtown main street area was quite nice though, and the Inn at Perry Cabin was sumptuous.

Many congratulations on your engagement!

What a sweet proposal story.

The ring is beautiful! I love the profile. The asscher is amazing. I am really starting to love that shape!

Oh, no offense taken at all!!!

I was just shocked when I read that. As far as harbors go, St. Michael''s is the nicest one in Maryland that I''ve been to. My family tries to go once a year for the peaceful, serene atmosphere and to eat at the crabhouse on the water.

I''ve never stayed at any of the B&B''s, but friends have told me there are ones that are very cozy and romantic. I think proposing back at your room with the champagne and rose petals (after strolling around St. Michael''s) sounds like an amazing and memorable proposal for your lucky FI.

Many congratulations again!!!

I apologize for not including this information in my initial post, but I would be remiss if I didn''t also thank my Washington, DC jeweler, I. Gorman Jewelers, particularly Scott Goode, who guided my ring selection process.

Scott was very friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. He provided a wealth of information when I was starting my diamond search, and had no qualms about allowing me to bring in an outside diamond to be set through I. Gorman. He also had nothing but praise for the stone I did select.

I would highly recommend Scott and I. Gorman to anyone else in the DC area.
