B. Makowsky''s Purses

That is a totally cute bag Jas!

Tacori, I like the bag you ended up with, as well as all the previous choices, so I would have been no help.

Plus we all deserve nice bags since our tots are a bit older. The bag I get the most compliments on is my Not Rational Hansel Diaper bag though. The design didn''t start out as a diaper bag but it worked so well as one I guess she marketed it as such. It is such a LIGHT bag, I love that it doesn''t kill my shoulders.

I love the coach--good choice. I am really liking the less structured look of a hobo bag right now. It can be dressed up or down (which is always a bonus when you are spending $$$)


Tgal--i''ll have to keep that diaper bag in mind for my next. Right now i just throw stuff in my purse and don''t bother with a seperate bag--BUT with 2, i''ll need one for sure!

Well they had a lot of them but the one I loved was only in Ivory (I wanted black) so I did order it full price. I just couldn''t chance I would never find it and since it was my birthday...

TACORI! I went to our Dillards today with FI, and you know that bag I linked to on the last page? On sale for $109. FI totally bought it for me, and I''m in LOVE!!!!!!

FC, what a steal! I love the green. I posted pics on my FB page. Warning...they aren''t great pics. I took them in a hurry. I used it last night for the first time and LOVE it. I am so glad I just bit the bullet and got it. Now where are YOUR pictures young lady?
 
Just wanted to update this thread. I love my B Makowsky so much I just bought my second! Mine is more of a purplish/pink color and the leather is SO soft. Maybe even softer than my black one. I LOVE the cell phone pocket and all the metal details. I found a killer deal at Marshall''s and they had a HUGE selection of
B Makowsky purses for cheaper than anywhere i have ever seen them. This will not be my last

Here is the side view. It holds a TON. I no longer carry a diaper bag so I had a few diapers, wipes, toys, water bottle, sippy and wallet with room left over.

I recently got this Atlantis Shopper on sale on eBags.com. It''s my 2nd B. Makowsky bag. I get more compliments on these than I ever got on my Coach, Michael Kors or Kate Spade bags:

I love that color. Well, I love the whole thing, but especially the color. It is not what you usually think of as a neutral, but I got a jacket last week at the Dillards New Years Sale in that color and it goes with everything.

I''m new to this thread but, hope I can join in. I own one Makowsky. It''s a hot pink semi tote style with metal framed handles~from Nordies last spring. My current obsession though is with Rebecca Minkoff bags. Since Thanksgiving my DD and I have had a bit of a run with them~the leather is oh so soft. Another brand we really like is Botkier~anyone familiar??

We belong over at The Purse Forum where there are whole sections just on one particular brand. Give it a go!

Thanks, I love it too! It''s called Basil, so they categorize it as a green, but it''s really a blue-green-grey color, and you''re right, it goes with everything. Zappos has a bunch of Makowsky bags in that color - I ordered a few styles, but ended up with the one in the pic.
 
vesper, LOVE the color! I think they are really sophisticated designs and the leather...love how soft it is.

njmom, of course you can join! Rebecca Minkoff bags look amazing but over my budget at the moment! I should head over to TPF. I know a lot of PSers are members there too.
 

I lurk more often than post, but had to share since the tip caused me to check for B. Makowsky at my local TJ Maxx. I bought a larger black purse with gorgeous silver hardware. I also found a small cross-body purse with small sterling studs.


I did notice the larger bags are really heavy. B. Makowsky apparently has a lighter line out which doesn''t have as much weight to them. I LOVED the Atlantis but it weighed a ton perfectly empty.

Linda, great finds! They are heavier b/c of the metal hardware. I don't think mine is too bad but I guess I don't carry super heavy stuff.

ETA: BTW I heard Dillard's has them on sale right now (for under $100).
 
Macy''s had them on sale this weekend for 30 percent off. Dillards sounds like a better deal, but TJ Maxx and Marshalls'' prices just can''t be beat!

The small one was $79 the larger $129. My friend picked up a really nice black one with an attached wallet for $51!!! It was buried in the clearance section.
 
I bought one at TJ Maxx for $120. I don''t have a picture of it, but my TJ Maxx had several different styles. I really like mine.
 
I had QVC on last week while cleaning (I swear!) and they had a segment of these purses and I was so surprised they were so expensive.... The ones they showed looked so plain I couldn''t see why. 2 of them buy entry level LV so I''m not sold. That said some of you have gotten some great bargains and at lower price points they do look like great all rounder bags. I wish we had more outlet type shops here.

Teenagers are told: "you'd better start worrying about your future". If your worries aren't at least as frequent as your bowel movements, you're seen as irresponsible, childish, aimless.
