Back from vacation... here''s pix!

Hi PS friends!

Just got back from Aruba last night and still in vacation mode!

Anyhow I thought I''d share some of the pictures I took while away. Each day we woke up to a view that looked like this.

These lizards were all over the place on the hotel grounds. I couldn''t get over how big some of these guys were. The dude in the first pic was over 3 feet long!!!

One day we took at ATV tour and cruised the other side of the island. This is my nephew Matt, my bro-in-law Chas, and myself. It is at this spot where they throw dead animal carcass'' to the sharks. On this side of the island there are hammer heads, mako''s, and nurse sharks among others. The island has not had any shark incidents though since the hotels are located on Carribean side and this is on the Atlantic side.

Hrm... looks like the balcony shot didn''t load. Here''s what should have been in the first post.

One day while we out snorkeling there was a little rain fall which left this view.... One of my Christmas presents was a new wide angle lens, 10-22mm which on the Canon digital SLR (20D) equates to 16-35mm. This shot is at the full 16mm wide.

Lizards are really awesome. My son had a bearded dragon for a long time and my sister inherited him for the time being. They do make awesome pets.

I tell ya ... usually when I go on vacation I''m generally ready to leave by the end of it ... not this time. I coulda stayed here another week or 2 especially considering the weather we are experiencing in NY. I will certainly be back in Aruba again. The food was also incredible.

No doubt this phenomena can be accounted for--not of course by a pot of gold but a reflection off, say, a superbly cut diamond?

So good to see you back too. Missed ya!!! Yea... last year at Disney I got that awesome portrait of a gorilla who was staring right at me. I love photographing ... um... everything! Animals, landscapes, portraits, ... oh yea .. and diamonds.

Although I had a great time it is good to be back.

btw... This is as close as I''ll get to a bikini.

We too are craving the tropical weather again...I was daydreaming on the way home from Tahoe (where we had 5 feet of snow!) about going to Kauai for my birthday in October of this year back to our fave place where we got married...but shhh Greg doesn't know yet.
